Wolfpack- 83, Zips- 67. The Wolfpack's bigs will be too much for the Zips. I am so old I saw Eric Musselman play for Brecksville.

Some previews of the Wolfpack- https://athlonsports.com/college-basketball/nevada-basketball-wolf-pack-prediction-2018-19 https://bustingbrackets.com/2018/09/29/nevada-basketball-2018-19-season-preview-for-the-wolfpack/

Right now, Cheese appears to be the primary backup, and he's better suited to the off guard spot. After him, it is thin. I like Scott Walter, but he's not ready for major minutes. I'm afraid teams are going to try to pound LCJ in MAC play.

No question that some kids want to go away and that's okay. I've acknowledged that numerous times in here. The point I am making is that UA should be in the running for kids that go to similar schools. I have no idea what Bowden and his crew did. I do, however, know of one kid in particular that wasn't offered from a very close area high school that is doing very well at a superior MAC football school and that he would have strongly considered Akron if offered.

Cleveland.com had an article today entitled "Early National Signing Day 2019: Where area football standouts are headed." Bowling Green. PCCC, Marshall, Toledo, Eastern Kentucky, Ohio, Miami... Arth needs to cut into that mass. No kid in NEO should think of schools like that without having had UA pounding on his door for a couple of years.

Again, waaaaaaaaay to many turnovers. That level of play won't work in the MAC, but there's still some time to iron things out. I was not pleased with their play against that weird 1-3-1 zone. Too little ball movement. I also was not happy with the way they responded to the press. Glad TSU ran some of that stuff to help get the Zips ready. Kudos to the TSU kids for playing hard sportsmanlike ball all night.

I realize it's not great to quote yourself, but I wanted to apologize for being off on my prediction by an entire point.

takes me back to the last year when they were playing that Earl of Sandwich commercial over and over and over and over...

Not looking good against a pretty sloppy press.

We're up 12 on a team that makes Detroit Mercy look like the Golden State Warriors.

I need a lighter to try to get that barbershop quartet back out for an encore.

Ugly stretch here for the Zips. This team is awful and they are letting them stay in the game.

He did a decent job.

Arth just spoke in the break. Blah, blah, blah, go Zips!

Looks like Banks is back. K-lac and Toles in street clothes.

Remember the good old days when we complained about the Dambrot OOC schedule. How could you not get tickets for Carnegie Mellon? That team can score some serious (ACT and SAT) points.

Zips big. Clarky gets home early. 82-59.

About what you would expect from an introductory press conference. Lots of fluff and glad handing. Get to word Mr. Arth.

The wi-fi doesn't seem to work for me. Says I have no internet if I recall. Android phone. Reboot doesn't see to help.

Anyone else ever have trouble posting on Zips Nation from the JAR? I can usually get in 2 or 3 posts then have trouble.

The logical and most common progression for a high school coach to a college program is from high school head coach to position coach or coordinator and if successful, then on to head coach. From head coach to head coach is jumping a few rungs in the ladder and that's magnified when it is to a D1 program. Tyrell was nothing special at St. Thomas Aquinas. He had some success in Florida. He has been very successful at Hoban and should be able to move on to the college ranks if he wishes, but if he wants to be a head coach, he'd be far better suited to start at a D3 program or do like Marcus Wattley did coming in from SVSM as a position coach and academic liaison.

About half of the active roster played like they were concussed.

He didn't seem mad enough in the post game to shame them.

She did a great job addressing the crowd at the basketball game today.

Let's hope Arth is as good as the new women's lacrosse coach when he speaks at the JAR. She's spunky.
