  1. In the spirit of the rivalry I have picked on Senderoff quite a bit over the years. I'm not impressed that he's the winningest coach in their history as he's also the longest tenured coach in their history, but from an objective viewpoint he generally has his kids ready to play and with rare exceptions his teams are always near the top of the MAC. This most recent run without a preseason All-MAC player and last season's freshman of the year to get within 5 seconds of a MAC championship was most impressive. As such, he's clearly been a successful coach worthy of some credit for his success. Groce says good things about him and if I'm willing to trust his judgment with the Zips I'm willing to trust his judgment on this topic. I will now return to my regularly scheduled program of referring to him as Mr. Pinky and making fun of him.
  2. The Ali foul is rivaled only by the foul he had called on him in the Ohio game.
  3. Tribble's foul shooting was pretty sketchy in the last month or so but it was super clutch when they needed it tonight.
  4. My bet is that we're headed to the farthest possible venue.
  5. Just wanted to point out that PCCC played it's best basketball of the season without the guy who proclaimed he was better than the preseason MAC MVP, regular season MAC MVP and MAC Tournament MVP.
  6. Here we go!!!!!!!!!!
  7. It would be nice for Sammy to get hot in the second half like last night.
  8. Okay Zips. 20 strong minutes left. Let's finish.
  9. Here's hoping for officials who call what they actually see as opposed to what they think they saw or anticipate seeing.
  10. Oh how sweet it would be to beat PCCC three times in 2 months. In the game at the JAR, the Zips put Ali on Sullinger early and his length seemed to bother him. When they shut down Insincere they came up with something to frustrate him, pressuring him early and making him go to his left. I wonder of we'll see a wrinkle tonight. The guy I am worrying about most is VonCameron Davis. He's become a better player than I imagined. He's a tough matchup for the Zips. He's developed an Ali type backdown yet can still shoot it fairly well from the outside. Hornbeak is playing fairly well but his backup is weak. I'd love to see him get in foul trouble early. Here's hoping Sammy picks up where he left off last night. No tired legs tonight boys. This could be the last college game of your life. No excuses.
  11. Phew. I can put off the 2023-2024 Zips Post-Mortem thread!
  12. Awful half. Outplayed. Outhustled. Outcoached.
  13. Bang up job by the refs so far. Jesus.
  14. PCCC shooting 69% on threes and getting every 50/50 ball. Tough to lose doing that.
  15. If the Zips have the same bench as PCCC, yes.
  16. PCCC shooting 70% on threes. BUGS playing like 7 guys who just met.
  17. I really like Jaylin Hunter's game. He's not flashy he's just really solid. 14th in the MAC in scoring; 1st in assists; first in assist to turnover ratio; 2nd in steals. The kid just seems to always make good decisions and can get an important hoop when it's needed.
  18. I think we'll have to be a little more cautious with the pressure today as Ohio's guards are much better ball handlers than Miami's.
  19. Damn, the Zips gave up 92 points last week to a team that just had a 22 point half.
  20. Not a strong year for the MAC.
  21. The defense was better today.
  22. Yes, in the flow of the game and shorten it up when it's not dropping.
  23. Dawson finally puts the ball on the floor and....gets a charge called on him. I'm glad he plays hard on D and has "intangibles" because otherwise he's killing me.
  24. "Anderson Mirambeaux's gotta lot of body to put on someone"- Reghi quote of the season.
  25. Tribble goes down where Ali just fell. Damn MAC, get this **** right.
