  1. My superstitious side fears that it is too early to start this conversation. Like Michael Scott, I'm not superstitious, I'm just a little stitious.
  2. That elusive ACC bid would finally come.
  3. I have a scooter and some circa 1980 Corell plates and would do it for $50 a show.
  4. I think UA should establish a Red Panda residency like the Vegas venues do with the big stars!
  5. The 6'10" guy ruins that stat. He'd have to average 93 rebounds a game to bring them up to the Zips dwarves level.
  6. Two words to increase attendance- RED PANDA.
  7. The Zips head off to Central Michigan Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. game against the 11-13/4-7 Chippewas. The Chipps are coming off of am 91-83 loss in Brimfield (where I had the Chipps +8.5). The Chipps were decimated by the transfer portal after a 12 win MAC season where it looked like the program was coming around. They were able to retain All-MAC guard Anthony Pritchard but lost 6 of their top 7 scorers to the portal. 6’10“ junior forward Ugnius Jarusevicius leads the Chipps in scoring and rebounding at 14.6 ppg and 7.3 rpg.
  8. Groce was not happy with the rebounding, defense or effort by the Zips. Essentially said that WMU was more physical and put forth a greater effort and that the Zips won due to their shooting.
  9. These teams blew through the under/over about a half an hour ago.
  10. Sound rebounding fundamentals and some fortunate long bounces add up.
  11. I wish the Zips could play Hardman only on offense.
  12. I'll give them credit. They keep fighting back.
  13. Refs called 3 fouls on WMU in the first half and 6 in the first 2:48 of the second half!
  14. Stream of consciousness/cluelessness going on here!
  15. 6 WMU fouls in the first 3 minutes. LOL.
  16. Only 6 on the Zips. Both teams should be in the bonus within the first 7 minutes of the second half!
  17. Women's lacrosse had more honor roll players than football.
  18. Refs called 3, that's 3, fouls on WMU in that half.
  19. Too lazy to walk up the steps to us common folk!
  20. We've gone from Mike Lewis in a suit and tie to Stephens in a hoodie and Nikes.
  21. Looks like it is going to be a disappointing crowd for the team with the longest win streak in the country.
  22. Good news. Sharron is warming up.
  23. It's going to be on ESPN2.
  24. One of the world's most arrogant men is 2-22. They even lost to "Nowhere U."
  25. Some snippets from the WMU site- The Broncos continue to rank among the league's best in rebounding, leading the MAC in offensive rebounding (13.1), ranking second in overall rebounding (37.7) and fourth in rebounding margin (+2.9). Western Michigan is also leading the way in offensive rebounding in conference play (13.5) and is second in overall rebounding (37.4) in MAC contests. The WMU trio of Owen Lobsinger (7.2, 3rd), Max Burton (5.6, 14th) and Donovan Williams (5.3, 18th) are all among the league's top-20 rebounders this season. Western Michigan has had 10 or fewer turnovers 11 times this season, including eight games with single-digit miscues. At 11.0 per contest, WMU is committing the second-fewest turnovers in the conference. Akron enters Tuesday night's matchup with a 39-22 record in the all-time series with the Broncos. The Zips have been especially dominant on their home floor, winning 22 of the 27 prior meetings in Akron. Western Michigan's last road win in the series came back on Jan. 3, 2004. The two teams split last season's meetings, with WMU winning at home on Senior Night to punch its ticket to Cleveland for the MAC Tournament.
