Two familiar QB's are in the portal. Would we have any interest? Joe Labas from Brecksville-Broadview Heights. Originally went to Iowa, then to CMU. EJ Warner (Kurt's son). Originally with Temple then to Rice.

I would imagine we will go after Brady Ploucha (6-5 305 OL) who is in the portal from CMU. We offered him coming out of high school.

Until just recently, I think that we all thought Nunnally was out of eligibility and would be gone anyway, so I'm not too upset about it. Having him back would have been great though.

I'm not much of a soccer fan, but my best moment for sure is when we won the National Championship over Louisville in 2010!

Not excited to see Moore, James, Kellom or Smith in the Portal, however I'm not surprised at all. I'm still hoping we can somehow keep Norton and McCoy, but I'm worried about them. I guess the way I look at the current state of college football is that it's just a constant revolving door. Any good or great players from G5 will enter thinking they are better than where they are currently and the P4/5 players not getting the playing time they think they deserve will enter hoping for more playing time, respect, whatever from another P4/5 or a G5.

Where are you seeing these? I haven't seen anything on 247Sports.

Unfortunately, I feel like there is no way Norton comes back. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it. He'll get a really good NIL deal from somewhere and Akron can't afford him. I'll go with 5-7.

I have a couple fond memories of Gerry. The first was that I always remember him taking the team over to the band after games, win or lose and having them sing the Alma Mater as the band played. I thought that was a really classy, student relationship building thing to do. The second memory is from the late 80's, early 90's when I used to work at Dilly's Drive In Restaurant on Triplett. He used to come in after practices at the Rubber Bowl and order food. We'd talk for 20 minutes sometimes. Such a nice friendly guy. RIP

Just a thought here and maybe it should have it's own thread, BUT...does anyone else think that perhaps Brookhart's return might possibly mean he would be in position to replace Moorhead and become head coach again if/when he leaves?

I actually heard from a pretty reliable source that CJ Price is transferring from Jackson State to San Diego State. I'm not sure on the exact timeframe, but what ever it is, I'm guessing he won't be playing in any games for Jackson State this year. Curious how this is going to work out.
