  1. "Junior inside receiver Boogie Knight leads the Sun Belt Conference and ranks tied for 30th in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, averaging 6.0 receptions per game. The 5-foot-10, 191-pound Knight leads the Warhawks in receptions (12), receiving yards (137) and yards after catch (36). Seven of his 12 catches have resulted in a first down (58 percent). He also has four receptions of 15 or more yards."
  2. You want to talk about a must win game? This is it. If they cannot beat Bryant, there is no way to go forward or finish the season with Arth. That being said, I am afraid it will be way closer than it should be.i pick the Zips by 2 TDs.
  3. We know Zips Grandma is here. There are likely other women. Quit showing such disrespect.
  4. You always seem so sure that only men follow football enough to participate.
  5. We will see. The SBC is a more competitive conference right now, so we will see whether he didn't have the talent to compete at Akron or if the problem was Akron.
  6. Boogie looked very good in the game against Kentucky. No splash plays but made really good catches in decent coverage. Abraham Alce and Jordan Riley are both with Boogie at ULM. Alce had a couple touches as a short yardage back. I don't recall if Riley got in the game or not.
  7. Gilbert just recovered a blocked punt and ran it into the endzone. Well done!
  8. The band never gave up. They kept playing.
  9. That would be an epic failure. This guy has no moral compass. I don't want a D1 program if you have to bring in that kind of guy to win.
  10. If you're going to do it, don't wait until the end of the season. Fire him and get an interim coach in there to try to keep the kids engaged.
  11. This is about as bad as it gets, but what can be done? Certainly cannot afford to fire him and pay off his contract, which goes until 2023. This is going to be an impossible situation.
  12. Arth couldn't even bother to get out if his pajamas for this game.
  13. This dates back to Bowden. Things have to change at the University before Akron is competitive again. That being said, I don't see Arth doing the type of fundraising that Bowden did, to help his own cause and he doesn't seem very good on the public relations front. And focus on what? The dire straits before us? I think you are the one who needs to let it go.
  14. By year 3 Bowden upset Pitt and took the team to a bowl game, and won it. This is year 3 for Arth. His cupboard was no more bare than the one Bowden inherited from Ianello. There is zero hope that this team wins more than two games, and maybe more realistically one game. But we cannot afford to fire him. To pretend that the program isn't in dire straits is a joke. Yes, Williams was a big part of the disaster, but it goes further. UA is clearly not concerned with putting a high quality team on the field to compete. Whether Bowden had some bad luck or was a bad coach will be proven over the next three years as he tries to flip ULM which is even more disadvantaged than UA, financially. You might want folks to move on from Bowden, but that won't happen until you find a better replacement. Arth isn't it
  15. The Zips would be lucky to be down by one score at rhe end of Q1 today.
  16. And he has a 7-0 lead in Kentucky with Boogie Knight making two 3rd and long catches on the scoring drive. This is a team that never led a game in 2020.
  17. I have no problem with them holding back the 2 deep if they feel it gives them some competitive advantage. But the complete lack of marketing is a disaster. Other G5 schools hold back the 2 deep, but they do other things to create buzz,
  18. Wow, it's game day and the program has sunk to such a low that there is zero enthusiasm. No Thursday predictions and not an iota of hope that the Zips can compete today. Re: Dollard, I understand the disappointment, but it makes me genuinely sad to see another young man full of potential throw his life away.
  19. Not only was ULM winless last year, they never led in a single game. To be one spot ahead of them three years into Arth's tenure is embarrassing. Bowden will likely have a better year at ULM than Arth will at Akron, mostly due to the transfer portal. That is embarrasing.

  21. BS. The cupboard wasn't that bare, except for the Bowden recruits he decided not to sign. Arth might have done OK, but hasn't shown any signs of being able to handle D1 level. Everyone sees how bad the Zips. Everyone.
