OK, I will revise my originaly statement. I wouldnt rate him as the best player on this team. Either way, congrats.
-
Romeo had a pretty good season, but I'd argue hes not even the most valuable player on this team.
-
oh man, an Elton John reference, nice! Or a reference to The Who... one or the other...
-
Ohio also un-officially has a bunch of fans at the Clevelander. The owners are Ohio Alumni i think.
-
I would be they are GA tickets, since the visitors section is only the first few rows behind the bench. Section 4 is fun because your above the Can't Bench. And some of the rowdies from last year told me you get a nice view from the Can't student section

"Best" road wins for all MAC teams, by RPI:Akron - Oral Roberts #96Can't St. - Ohio #95Ohio - Western #146Miami - Indiana St. #135Buffalo - Temple #159BG - Wright St. #80Toledo - Western #146Western - Eastern #226Eastern - BG #253Central - Eastern #226Ball St. - Central #236Northern Illinois - Ohio #95With the possible exception of BG (how the heck did they win at Wright St), no one in the MAC has a "Good" road win.

Standings as of 7 AM on 3/2: (The EMU/CMU game was postponed until tonight because of weather)EASTAkron 12-3Can't 12-3Miami 10-5Ohio 9-6Buffalo 3-12BG 2-13WESTToledo 13-2Western 8-7Central 7-7Eastern 5-9Ball State 5-10Northern 3-12Akrons has clinched atleast the three. They'll be two with a win over Can't, three with a loss. The other seeds, with the most likely team listed first: #1 - Toledo or Can't #2 - Akron or Can't #3 - Can't or Akron #4 - Miami or Ohio (Ohio owns tie breaker over Miami, but need miami to lose to BG, prolly not going to happen) #5 - Ohio or Miami (Ohio owns tie breaker over Western, so they clinch atleast a the 5) #6 - Western or Central (Western owns tie breaker by having beat Can't) #7 - Central or Western #8 - Eastern or Ball St. (EMU owns tiebreaker by winning both games) #9 - Ball St. or Eastern#10 - Buffalo or Northern (UB holds tie breaker)#11 - Northern or BG or Buffalo#12 - BG or BuffaloThe mac-sports.com has TBA for all the games on Thursday. With the last two games being on TV, I wonder if they juggle the lineup to get the best teams on TV...

I believe they changed it this year so the division winners are guarenteed byes, but not the #1 or #2 seed. I saw a discussion on the MAC board where everyone was saying the Womens tournament still guarenteed the champs the #1 and #2 seeds, but the mens tourny did not.

In looking at their schedule, they lost @ Miami by three in OT, thats considdered a blowout?

In reading all this, I am amazed by how silly it is. Are there obnoxious OU fans? Yes. But there are also obnoxious Miami Fans, and Buffalo fans, etc... But anyone who doesnt think there are the same kind of Zips fans needs to lay off the crack. I was at a game in the rubber bowl, sitting on the opposing side with a friend who used to play offensive line for the opponent, and some Akron fans decided to come over and rub it in my friends face. It happens. Why judge the lot by a few bad apples? Both schools are passionate about their programs. Let's move on...

12-11 EMU 14 to go first half.

OU doesnt have the power to force the game to be played. The decision to cancel the game is up to the League Office. The teams were there, the refs were there, no reason not to play. I am one of those people who bought tickets and couldnt phyically make it to the JAR, and I'd love to be there, but I cant blame OU
-
If I wasn't 40 miles away, Id try to make it, but thats too far in this weather.
-
My prediction is about 800 people
-
My fiance is a senior and just emailed me that as of 3 PM they would be closing campus, but as of right now the game is still on. If things keep getting worse, I would think they'd postpone the game too...
-
OU has no shot at the #1 seed, but they are still in the running for that #4 and last first round bye so they definetly have something to play for. 4 games in 4 days is infinetly more difficult than 3 in 3. They seem to be a team that plays to the level of their competition, See their games against the zips and rockets and also their losees to Ball St. and NIU. I still think the zips will win, but if you look past them they'll jump up and bite you like NIU did to them yesterday,
-
if you mean the guy who jumped when he dribbled, that was antonio chatman, who is no longer on their roster.and whats up with hoping for injuries? its not the first time ive seen it on here and quite frankly its bush league
-
Winning in Savage is tough, they only lost 4 or 5 games in the last 3 or 4 years (I think). If Travis / Wood / Milum can establish the post, Zips win by 6. If not, or they get in foul trouble (which tends to happen on the road in the MAC), who knows...
-
^^^ Couldn't agree more^^^Ohio and Akron have the best one two post punches in the league. Travis/Williams Wood/Tillman Dials/Walther will all be very interesting to watch. With the PG problems at OU, Troutman, they seem to be running a Point Forward with Sonny troutman. So I would think Cedric might gaurd him not Bubba. Should be a great game.

I was thinking the same thing. OU is good at spending time on message boards and running smack, but is this really that big of a challenge. We are playing Toledo, the leading team from the West- bigger game. We also have Can't coming up-the second ranked team in the East-bigger game. Why are people getting so jacked up about OU? They are the one team that has blemished our record, but they are just another game. Toledo and Can't are big games. OU is just a W along the way to the number one seed. If you're gunning for the #1 seed, EVERY game is a big one. Plus if Toledo beats the Zips tonight, they're tied with Can't and Ohio is only one game back... I can't believe anyone would say ANY game against a division team is not big...

Wasn't this post from the OU board already posted over here and discussed?
-
Ohio didn't lose to CMU, but they did lose to Testical Tech, which is just as bad. "Generally speaking, OU fans think their crap doesn't stink" - A lot of people I work with say the same thing about Zips fans, but everyone seems to think that of mimi fans for some reason haha. I look at it as simply being a fan of your team, your always going to be looking at the world through tinted glasses. Yeah I know I'm no fun haha. And while the Zips are 9-1 in conference, that one loss is to Ohio. Both teams will get a chance to prove whos better come Tuesday. Let's just hope the team has something left after Toledo.Anyone know what the ticket situation looks like? I saw somewhere on here that upper reserved are almost sold out. Any word on GA?

Those people who say Cincy is better than the MAC kill me. I am pretty sure Ohio beat them here in Cleveland.Ranking them on play to this point, I'll say: 1) OSU 2) Xavier 3) Toledo (Until Akron beats them, they deserve to be here) 4) Akron 5) Can't 6) Ohio 7) Dayton 8) Wright St. 9) Cincinnati10) Miami11) BGSU12) YSU13) CSU
