If the 2007 team wasn't even good enough for an 8 seed then I don't see how they would give us a home game. College basketball is starting to look a lot like college football with all of the unreasonable advantages given to high majors.

Because you know exactly how hurt his shoulder is. Pat is far from selfish, but keep up with the attacks on his character. I'm thankful for what he was able to do in his career and the sacrifices he had to make. If playing on a bad shoulder that he can barely use would ruin any shot at the pros, then he made the right choice.

Buffalo is the new Ohio. Gotta give UB credit for hitting big shots and hanging through the adversity all year. The coach they have will be an all-star in the business someday. As far as Akron goes, they fought hard but execution was simply not there. Even Big Dog couldn't draw a foul or finish in traffic. They were able to fight back from being in tough spots, but stupid mistakes and lack of box-outs did them in. Let's face it, UB had nothing to lose so when they smelled blood in the water, they were going to attack. I'm impressed that we were able to punch them right back given how poorly we were playing. I'd love to pin this loss on Antino but he played so great for the entire game until that point. It was as dumb a thing that he could have done, but there were soooo many other stupid decisions by other guys over the course of the game that eventually led to the loss. Kwan. Kwan, Kwan, Kwan. I like a guy that's hard on himself, but that 4 minute stretch killed his attitude. He didn't even want to get back on defense he was so pissed at himself. I know the season isn't over yet because we'd all love some NIT wins, but this offseason(and next season, obviously) will ultimately decide what Kwan's legacy will be. I I really wanted this one for the seniors. They've been through a lot and have been total class acts. Now let's draw OSU and beat their asses.

Now is the time for the shooters to get hot again. The last three games have been pretty bad by Akron standards. The BG game was an improvement but we need to get back to hitting 11 or 12 a game while working through Dog.

We've got to be better defensively. The second half was an improvement but D must improve if we want to dance. Oh yeah, and Jake was fantastic. BEAT CANADA!

Just read though the game thread...I don't understand how true Akron fans that have been following the program for AT LEAST a couple of years count the team out so early in all these games. They play 40 minutes for a reason. If they played ~30 minutes I would understand some of that, but come on man. BEAT BG. I'm tired of sitting at the Q on MAC tournament Saturday having to watch other teams play. Get the job done.

Very early in the MAC season for just a few games were the only times the Zips have been 100%. I'm glad we've been able to sustain success so far ( still a lot of work to be done) but I really feel bad for Pat.

Anita Brown scores 37 and gets 7 assists and Barilla puts up 6 points, 10 boards, and 6 assists to give the Zips a 73-71 win in OT. Zips play Buffalo on Friday.

Going to OT tied at 60. We're pretty lucky to have this chance, the second half was pretty bad. Brown has 31.

Zips lead 40-36 at the half. They are shooting 51% and 54% from three, Anita Brown has 21 points and 4 rebounds.

Ohio women lose to Buffalo...again. That makes the road to the championship much easier BUT worry about UT first.

Won the league by two games and rarely had the whole roster available. It had to be this way, congrats KD!

We should blow them out the way we're playing, especially with rest. They didn't look that good tonight, but hell look at the rest of the league. BG could go on a run right now for all we know. The Roo Invades The Q on Thursday at noon. Take care of business and win this dadgum tournament.

That's been a common theme for them lately

It's not like either match up would be easy honestly. Still a lot of game though, which means enough time for Toledo to fight back and force a few overtimes.

Other than a few bad shots, Noah was superb last night. Watching the replay and seeing him whip the ball all over the floor was impressive. If a few threes go down he could have had probably 10 assists. I'm anxious to see how he plays in his first MAC tournament.

Did anyone expect Ivey to out score Reggie? I'd love to see more of that from Jimond. Defend well, get to the bucket, make some foul shots with his 10 or so minutes.

Our side of the bracket is a meat grinder. Go Eagles, I guess. I'd much rather see them than Toledo.

Gritty win! I feel bad for Reggie though, especially with it being senior night. It's nice to know that we can win ugly. Cleveland here we come.

UALR lost last night. Could that help with possible seeding?
