Damn it, after today's terrible and painful game, I want to know what the hell Jacq did to get the boot. Stop cranking around and just tell what you've heard.STZI don't want to start an unconfirmed rumor about what Jacq did, but if what I heard from various sources is true, he is done.I have no idea what Jac actually did to get the boot, but its not exactly a secret that he's always been a guy who likes to blaze it up, and I'm not talking about with his arm on the football field. I wouldn't be surprised if that played a role, directly or indirectly. Any guy who is given a leadership role on a D-1 college football team and continues in a habit like that is a worthless POS in my opinion. There were at least a couple that referred to Jacq having been caught stealing, and the last comment on the board is from a poster called ZIPINSIDER, wherein he comments on the stealing rumor:"Mischief: I know this is true, well a portion of it is true.I worked for the football team the past two months and the athletic department for several years dating back to 2005. The team has been plagued by a thief since the start of camp back in august. Not only has several items been stolen out of the locker room, but personal items have been stoled from coaches and GA's. One item for certain was the wallet of our offensive line GA. Not only once but at least twice. He has reportedly lost almost 1,000 dollars in the incident.Players were not at all concerned with the loss of jac, considering that he was not a "team player". He has not attitude and shows no emotion on or off the field. Given rodgers poor showing saturday, I have watched him now for several months and I will tell you he has "it" and I talking the "it" that the one frye with the same number had several years ago. Akron will probably lose to a very good central michigan team next week and probably several other games this year. But Rodgers is the future." I was told by a very reliable source that this was the reason for his suspension. I dont know specifics, but seeing that I am not the only one who has heard this leads me to believe that it may hold more water than I first believed. Of course, proven illegal drug use warrants the same possible punishments, not to mention possible legal consequences. If he has done something not only against team rules but also against the law, which is what everyone has been suggesting, should we expect nothing less than expulsion and legal consequences? His books are free as part of his scholarship and have to be turned in at the end of the semester.If the answer is he stole and sold a friend's/teammate's books to buy X, then it is a criminal act of theft and he is a jerk. I'm not a lawyer, but there are certain levels of theft based upon dollar amounts that would determine the level of severity. JD did tell the ESPN crew that it was nothing criminal.Here is what we know for sure. I don't know what a quarter-bag and some papers cost these days, but I'm sure a kid from Mentor would have enough money to buy them. Years ago, books were recorded returned and collected in a conference room in the football office in the JAR. Once the books were recorded as returned, it didn't matter what happened to them after they were in that room. It was not uncommon for a player to walk into the room with an empty book bag and walk out with a full book bag. This was 20+ years ago now. I'm not sure how they do it these day. The book store then sends paperwork/bill to compliance if there are any books missing. If you turn your books in late it's a bit of a paperwork headache fro Klotz, and you turn in your late book directly to him to return to the book store.
