Zipmeister Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I'm going with the Zips by 13, no make that 14 points after 3 quarters. Quote
Dr Z Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I'll stick with my prediction I made yesterday in the 'Gardner Webb' thread. 28-10 Zips (that includes a TD by the D). Quote
g-mann17 Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Offense really gets it act together... 30-3 Akron (all field goals) Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Akron 38 - 13 6 TD's, with 4 missed PAT's. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Inglorious Zippers 38 Runnin' Away Bulldogs 3 Quote
akronad Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 My crystal ball is still a bit tarnish, with an orangy substance, but I can make out enough of out line to predict Zips 17 GW 3. Defense, again will carry the day. Offense will figure out things somewhat and score 10 pts. The defense will return an intrception for a TD. GO ZIPS!!!!!!!!! Quote
K-Roo Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Zips Offense 6, GW 6 Zips Special Teams 11, GW 4 (2 XP, 3 FG) Zips D 6, GW 0 Zips 23, GW 10 The Offense's TD will be set p by the D or Special Teams. We will miss XP, or FG. Quote
MDZip Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 41-0 Zips. That's the standard set last year for playing an FCS team at home. Quote
MaxZIP Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 We had better win byat least 26 Quote
K-Roo Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Akron 6, GW 3. Defense scores 3 safeties? Couldn't be 2 made FG's. Are you thinking TD and missed XP? Quote
akzipper Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 GW 35 Akron 4....I bet GW is better than Syracuse, but Nicely couldn't complete a pass to Jerry Rice so I don't see how we can score a offensive point. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Akron 6, GW 3. Defense scores 3 safeties? Couldn't be 2 made FG's. Are you thinking TD and missed XP? Akron scores a TD. GW scores a safety. GW gets a turnover during Akron's 2-point conversion attempt and runs it back for 1 point. Quote
skip-zip Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 My Heart: 40-0 (a missed FG and two missed PATs) My Head: 19-7 (still a missed FG and two misssed PATs) Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Offense: -21. Brian Wagner: 40. GW: 24 Does this game count in the football vs. soccer score contest? I don't think it should. Soccer doesn't play D-II teams. Quote

Soccer doesn't play D-II teams. Come on...this team is a joke. If we don't win by 30+ we have major issues. Quote

wags076 Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 PREDICTION Whoa, whoa, whoa. There's still plenty of meat on that arm of Nicely. Give the boy some time to develop his flavor by taking last weeks defeat and give it some time to sink in. Let that offense grow through that loss. Now you take that offense home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you've got an akron offensive stew going. Zips 35 GW 7 (so says NCAA 10) Quote

Zipsrifle Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Game: Akron 28, GW 10 Attendance: 10,000 (Very Sad) It appears that this weekend is the annual band day, so we'll have a decent "crowd" for the first half. Zips 35 GW 17 Quote
ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Attendance: 15,900 Akron: 28 GW: 10 Real enjoyment to had: tailgating before the game Go Zips! Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 It used to be that games between FBS (1-A) teams and FCS (1-AA) teams were "off the board" in terms of betting. I have noticed this year that some of these contests now have published point spreads. This USA Today page lists two establishments that have UA as an 11 point favorite over G-W. This seems a little low to me, but who really knows. Edit: Looking a little closer, it seems it's only the 5Dimes site that consistently provides a spread for FBS vs. FCS games. Quote
