Dr Z
I'll stick with my prediction I made yesterday in the 'Gardner Webb' thread. 28-10 Zips (that includes a TD by the D).
g-mann17
Offense really gets it act together... 30-3 Akron (all field goals)

akronad
My crystal ball is still a bit tarnish, with an orangy substance, but I can make out enough of out line to predict Zips 17 GW 3. Defense, again will carry the day. Offense will figure out things somewhat and score 10 pts. The defense will return an intrception for a TD. GO ZIPS!!!!!!!!! We will miss XP, or FG.

K-Roo
Akron 6, GW 3. Defense scores 3 safeties? Couldn't be 2 made FG's. Are you thinking TD and missed XP?
akzipper
GW 35 Akron 4....I bet GW is better than Syracuse, but Nicely couldn't complete a pass to Jerry Rice so I don't see how we can score a offensive point.
ZachTheZip
Akron 6, GW 3. Defense scores 3 safeties? Couldn't be 2 made FG's. Are you thinking TD and missed XP? Akron scores a TD. GW scores a safety. GW gets a turnover during Akron's 2-point conversion attempt and runs it back for 1 point.
skip-zip
My Heart: 40-0 (a missed FG and two missed PATs) My Head: 19-7 (still a missed FG and two misssed PATs)
Let'sGoZips94
Offense: -21. Brian Wagner: 40. GW: 24 Does this game count in the football vs. soccer score contest? I don't think it should. Soccer doesn't play D-II teams.

wags076
PREDICTION Whoa, whoa, whoa. There's still plenty of meat on that arm of Nicely. Give the boy some time to develop his flavor by taking last weeks defeat and give it some time to sink in. Let that offense grow through that loss. Now you take that offense home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you've got an akron offensive stew going. Zips 35 GW 7 (so says NCAA 10)

johnnyzip84
It used to be that games between FBS (1-A) teams and FCS (1-AA) teams were "off the board" in terms of betting. I have noticed this year that some of these contests now have published point spreads. This USA Today page lists two establishments that have UA as an 11 point favorite over G-W. This seems a little low to me, but who really knows. Edit: Looking a little closer, it seems it's only the 5Dimes site that consistently provides a spread for FBS vs. FCS games.
