skip-zip
A lot more on the line here than a CBI game. At least in this case, actual attendance should mirror announced attendance since there won't be all of the no-shows from corporate season ticket hollders. A good indicator might be the last time I remember us playing a first-round MAC tournament game at home, which was the thriller against OU in 2003. Does anyone know the official attendance for that game? UPDATE - I found it. 2,174 I sure hope we can do better than that.

zipinnc
Did I see a reference to the evil "Coleman Crawford" era? Let's not flushback to that time.
zip37
Sadly, fan support for our good coaches, [with a few exceptions] has NEVER been what I thought it should be, but being only resonsble for me, I've been there.
Zip_ME87
This crowd should at least be average. It's a MAC Tournament game at the same time in the evening as most Zips' games.

Dr Z
The marketing for this game is out of site. I'm expecting an email from Zippy any minute now to remind me. GoZips.com is going crazy on it.

GoZips.com is going crazy on it. I like the Zips' confidence! UA Athletics again will partner with Cadillac Ranch (located at 200 Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland and within walking distance of The Q) to serve as its official fan headquarters throughout the week of the tournament. Cadillac Ranch will offer a variety of food and drink specials to patrons who are wearing Zips attire.

ZachTheZip
Want to help attendance? Join the club. I wonder if this is more effective than anything marketing is doing. It's certainly more effective that all that marketing isn't doing.

Hilltopper
I went to the ticket office today to get my tickets. When asked where I wanted to sit, I was able to buy lower level seats at center court with no problem. All seats are $10 btw. 1500 max. attendance for Tuesday. What excuse is there, besides you're hospitalized? It's becoming embarassing to be a fan of this program. And please leave poor Coleman out of the discussion, OK? GoZips88
Picked up three tickets in lower level at center court late this afternoon. Ticket office person said they were fairly busy today. Have already cleared the schedule at work for the early games in Cleveland on Thursday. 2000 tops tomorrow night.
RowdyZip
Picked up three tickets in lower level at center court late this afternoon. Ticket office person said they were fairly busy today. Have already cleared the schedule at work for the early games in Cleveland on Thursday. 2000 tops tomorrow night. I bought 3 seats together in the lower bowl and was told there were only two sets of three in the center court sections on either side. That's a good sign. I'd love to see a couple thousand, but you have to remember it's a Tuesday night, we're playing a terrible team, people are apathetic to a 19-12 team, and you can't count all the season ticket holders in attendance as usual even though they don't show up. 1,620. johnnyzip84
The following was posted on Facebook by Akron Zips: UA Students! There will be a FREE Taco Bar for students during tomorrow's Men's Basketball game vs. Eastern Michigan at 7 pm in the JAR! Sounds like a good (albeit last minute) idea to me I have an obligation I simply can't get out of tomorrow night, but I really hope to see many of you Thursday. I just hope the team isn't looking ahead. As KD mentioned on the radio show, we're basically a McNees semi-miracle shot from being 0-3 against these guys in recent games. Zips Win!
With the scheduled 7pm news conference by The Death Penalty University, I would expect a late arriving crowd this evening. Come on Zips, let's end this great day with a win over EMU.

ZachTheZip
Official attendance was 1431. I bet if it was at the Q we get more fans, just because then it feels like an event and you get to go downtown.

Dr Z
Congratulations to the 9 people that correctly predicted the attendance (1431). I did not. I predicted between 1500 and 2500. I did have a chance to hand count the Rowdies last night. 13 Rowdies on one side of the hoop. 23 Rowdies on the other side of the hoop. There were a handful in section B that might have been more vocal than either side. Bring it to the Q students, the team needs you!!!!! I'm thinking about splurging for two lower-level season tickets next year.
