K92
And yet again the flashes board is lit up...Well, as lit up as their half-dozen fans can light up a board, I guess.
Zipmeister
Go to the Docket and look at the complaint. This one might not go away so easily.http://www.co.portage.oh.us/pa/pa.urd/pamw...et_lst?54112690The document looks routine to me. What part of it leads you to conclude that the case might not go away so easily?
Quickzips
Apparently he is "suspended indefinitley" pending the outcome of the court case according to the Beacon (Beacon story also indicates that 5 players on Can't's 15 man roster have had run ins with the law in recent years). How much you want to bet the charges are dropped or reduced, he pleads to a far lesser offense like disturbing the peace and is re-instated without so much as missing a day of practice? Pretty predictable path.
Blue & Gold
The ABJ article states that 5 of the 15 players on the current K3nt roster have had "brush ins with the law" during the past year! One-out-of-3?! They should be very proud.

Dave in Green
Remember, it's all about the noble concept of giving troubled youths a chance to straighten out their lives. The fact that they are outstanding athletes who help maintain the Can't basketball team's winning record is secondary.

Dave in Green
This thread has been quiet a lot longer than one would expect from a team that specializes in studying the criminal justice system from the inside. What if there were arrests going on that were not being reported by local media? How would we know?Well, we could always check in every month or two with the Portage County Clerk of Courts website, go to Search Court Records, go to Public Access Record Search and start entering the first and last names from the Can't basketball roster.Oh, my. What have we here?2011 TR C 11415 R STATE OF OHIO VS. MANNS, JUSTIN T OSP67 MKF
