How much would you pay to have a reserved tailgating spot in Lot #9?

Make sure you invite Keener and we will put a hurtin on some Corona Extra's also !!!!!! LOL

I'm not sober, but seems like a terribly written article. No flow and starting sentences with "but'.

I also don't really see his point. I have no clue about the current set up there, but in the future, the fans still have to park somewhere, right?

There is going to be a much better marketing program for football this year . The planning has already started and there is a new person in charge . That person reads this forum on a regular basis and has taken note of what the members have suggested .

Acme-Zip 'type' promotion. Could be any local business that has an interest on a large scale promotion to the uninterested general public. AD has to become more realistic about the actual attractiveness of the Akron football program except to a relatively small number of 'diehard' fans at this point.

Illinois releases plans for new tailgating area.

"The Lot 36 area, inclusive of the Red Grange statue on the west side of Memorial Stadium, has seen a variety of uses throughout the 90-plus years the venue has been in existence. Fans who remember coming in for Tailgreat will be excited that this type of atmosphere will be returning along with some new wrinkles that we are finalizing in preparation for the 2015 home season.

This park setting will be open for use throughout the year for a variety of activities and outdoor events. On Fighting Illini game days, this area will be the place to be, as we'll showcase first-come, first-served tailgating opportunities to any group who would like to be right next to the stadium. Fans will be able to bring in their own food and drinks into this area and the result will be a great party. Our priority is creating energy around the stadium that will then move inside as the Orange and Blue need us all, loud and proud, prepared to be an intimidating force inside Memorial Stadium."

Pitt fans. When Syracuse was here, there were tailgaters spread all over, including down by Wolf Ledges. It would be better IMO to have as much of the tailgating as close to the stadium as possible. The baseball field would be a nicer spot than behind the field house / rec center.

I got a spot in lot 9 with my all sports package. I typically had my buddy buy the all sports package when the rule was you had to be a graduate within the past 5 years but since they changed it, I got it myself and they sent me the 9 without having to ask.

Nice. Looking forward to meeting you, ZF34.

Does anyone know if there are still any lot 9 passes available? I'm only going to make the first game (maybe 2nd one too). Would love to set up in 9.

Edit: answered my own question. Ticket rep says lot 9 passes are for season ticket holders only. I didn't renew this year (have a new Zip arriving around 10/1).

What do you suggest for away fans looking to tailgate? From looking at the map on the Zips' site, it looks like all the lots around the stadium require a "Z-Pass" except for lot 74. Will that fill up quick? Any other suggestions?

Is the beer situation like it is elsewhere... Against the rules but no one says anything if it is in a cup and you aren't being an idiot? Or are they strict?

If your tag line reads "Can't read, can't write, Akron," you are much less likely to get tailgating guidance than if it read otherwise.
