No complaints here and I'm willing to eat some crow about Pat and Big Dog being out there together. I saw some really nice high / low stuff with them that worked. I thought that this was probably Big Dog's best all around game. As Skip just stated though, We can't win with our lack of offensive wing play. Jake was terrific on D but those two just too often can't buy one.

I'm very pleased with the effort though, IMO we played twice as well and twice as hard as we did against Miami. I'm not without hope going forward.

PS: that was about the best officiating crew that the MAC can give us. Maybe Hurley's constant barrage of BS to the officials works on some of them who want to avoid conflict. He can get away with that at home. On the road, not so much

This is exactly what you get from a young team...up and down. I said it before and I'll say it again..... When Tree got dismissed, this instantly became a 16-19 win team. They are what they are.

The mark of a young team is losing close games, and we have too many of those for me to list off the top of my head. When this team learns to closeout, it will be a force.

At least for one full season I'd like us to have a mature and complete team...no injuries, suspensions, or dismissals; no 10 minute scoring droughts; and 26+ wins including an NCAA win or two. I know right now we are way better than the Hipsher era, but this program needs that kind of season to refresh the fans and community. I recognize the athleticism and talent of the young players, but I think all the public sees is four straight losses.

I still like our chances for a MACC. All our losses are close, no MAC team is clearly better than the others, and we always play our best in the MAC Tournament. Why not us?

With regard to UB, I was so happy to see McCrae graduate...then Moss steps right in. The guy is a monster of a good player. If any current MAC player has NBA potential it is him. Kudos for his consistent play tonight; he was Canada's anchor.

On our side, good games from Pat, Deji, and Big Dog.

And total Free Throws

Buffalo 32

Akron 10

This is skewed due to the end of the game. Our bigs weren't getting the calls. Say what you want, our guards were just as aggressive in this game. We didn't have 35 3pt attempts. Buffalo's center shot the same amount of free throws as the Zips team. Call it what you will.

Not saying this is why we lost, but it certainly didn't help. Neither did 15+ turnovers. Neither did losing our starting PG for the season. And playing in a place we haven't won at in 5 yrs.

LIKE our chances??

We just lost 4 straight. I can't even fathom the chance of this team winning 5 games in 6 days in a couple of weeks.

Right now, I'd just be happy to see ONE win. Any win. Lets start there.

I give this team a lot of credit in that we were very competitive. We just cannot make an important shot in the last 5 minutes. Pat had 2 short shots from the paint and short armed them both leaving them short from 5 feet. Deji had a turnover. Kretzer, Qwan and Antino missed 3 point shots.

Kretzer played 31 minutes and did not score. Reggie only played 8 minutes and did not score. Basically, Kretzer and McAdams gave us no points in 2 games where they have played 80 minutes. I understand that KD likes Kretzer because of his defense but how do you justify playing him 31 minutes when he cannot put the ball in the basket for a second straight game.

This is the 4th loss in a row where we have executed poorly in the last 5 minutes. I am sure it is getting to be a mental thing with the players. I know that I was having some doubt when it was a close game with 5 minutes left.

Finally, I will also eat some crow with the twin towers. They played well offensively with Big Dog playing at the top of the key feeding Pat. Kwan also had some nice passes. The spacing looked real good. However, we gave up 20 offensive rebounds! I notice that we had nobody moving to the ball on the deep rebounds. I think both Pat and Big Dog were too deep under the basket. Kwan played 23 minutes and had only 3 rebounds. Not very good for a 6-9 guy.

I thought we played well tonight and you have to give Deji and Pat credit for their scoring. I just wish we could run plays for Deji at the end of the game instead of the play for Kwan so he could take a 3 point shot.

Hopefully, we can turn this thing around on Friday.

I would also like to know how you justify playing Jake 31 minutes? He scored 0 points his "little things" are not paying off! He can give up 15 minutes of his playing time to Aaron Jackson, BJ Gladden, and even Deji at this point, who is one of the leading scores on a consistent basis and still only get's 15 to 21 minutes compared to Jakes 26 to 31 minutes!

I will never, ever count out a Keith Dambrot-coached team in the MAC Tournament. It starts with a big win Friday night against OU.

We all know that winning the MAC tournament is all about how well your guards are playing. Right now, I can't say that I am very confident in UA's guards to go very far in the tournament.

Unless someone steps up, this might be the first time in a long time that I am not very confident going in to the tournament.

I'm pretty shocked that I've now seen several people who think it's no big deal to take this team to Cleveland with the task of having to win on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday........after playing a home game on Monday.........and playing against some very well rested teams.

I wish I felt the same way. I need to find some of the stuff that you guys are consuming.

They are undefeated this year when they've had to play 5 games in 6 nights!

By definition, faith does not require logic or evidence. I have faith in a KD coached team in the MAC Tournament; he has earned it.

This last game against Buffalo was a loss on the schedule before the season even started.
