Zips vs. WMU 3-11-15 (MAC Tourney Rnd 2)

Recommended Posts

Yes, WMU got us in the MAC Tournament last year, but that was a rarity. Overall, we own WMU and BGSU. I like the match-up and think the Zips take a tight game.

I also like our chances moving forward against Can't, and I think we are the last team they want to face in the MAC Tournament. Can we get through Buffalo and Toledo/CMU? With the injuries and youth of the team, I think two more MAC Tournament wins would be overachieving.

Let's get after it!

Just checked and the Zips open as 1.5 point favorites, which certainly fits your thoughts on a tight game, 0305. Contain Brown, who will hopefully be playing his final game in his decade-long career and get Pat a few more minutes. Play loose and enjoy ourselves, and keep the energy up on defense and this should be a W.

Asked this in the other thread, but does anyone know if these games will be blacked out on ESPN3 like the regular season games on TWC Sports were? I won't be able to make the trip tomorrow or Thursday if need be...I tried Jeremy Guy and George Thomas via Twitter and no one has an answer. Can't wait for that TWC contract to be DONE.

Well, I have been both very pleased and surprised with our last two efforts. Antino continues to really improve, Big Dog has been a force and we have received nice numbers from the 3 spot. IMO Those are the 3 things that have made the big difference. To come back out with that tenacity after the Can't game was very impressive to me and has to build confidence. These guys are clicking right now so anything is possible.

What is a Blackout? How is my location determined if the event is blacked out?
Blackouts apply to telecasts that have been sold regionally or locally per league, conference and local rightsholder agreements. Regional and local rights holders are usually broadcast stations or regional sports networks. Blackouts are implemented to protect the primary rights holder, as defined by the professional and college sports leagues or teams in a given market. If you are receiving blackout messaging on WatchESPN, check your local listings to find the television network carrying the event. If you see a message that states, "This content is subject to blackout", this is because the event that you requested is not available on WatchESPN in your location. Your location is determined by your IP Address. If you are connecting with a mobile device and believe you are incorrectly receiving blackout messaging, try connecting via WiFi. If you continue to receive inaccurate blackout messaging, please contact our Customer Care Team at 888-549-ESPN or @ESPN_FanCentral. source

I agree. I think we go as far as Jake and Reggie take us. We need production from the 3 spot, and as we saw last night, we're tough to beat when we get it. Also depends on Antino keeping up his play and not running out of gas.. But I haven't seen anything yet that would make me think he will.

Party at the Lizard! :CK_brew::cheers::CK_brew: .... two hours prior????? I have a feeling ZN members are more dedicated than the marketing department.

How many three pointers taken, and how many made tonight?

I plan on arriving around 6pm. Hope to see some of the other Zips faithful fans before I head over to the Q. Go Zips!

After the last game against WMU, in stating why he was upset about the loss, David Brown stated that they are the better team. That's really stuck in my craw. I want this one badly.

During the first matchup at the JAR, I felt like we were really a matchup nightmare for them. On the return visit to Kalamazoo, they had Brown back, but we played without Forsythe and Kretzer and still won. I think some people forget about that. And we were a pretty bad road team this year.

So, David Brown's comments would seem pretty delusional based on what transpired in the two games.
