We need to end the coaching search ASAP and stop the bleeding.

This is what you get when you make a coaching change. Hopefully the grad assistants are keeping some of the other commitments on the line until the new staff is announced.

You make a change like this for the next seven years, not one. So I hope Williams takes his time and get the best candidate. If it lasts into next week, so be it. As long we aren't courting Old Man Winters up in Michigan.

I agree with Captain. What's most important is making the right hire even if it costs us a few more guys.

Of course hiring the right guy is most important, I hope my post wasn't interpreted in any other way.

Blood in the water for Zipsoutsider!

Bowden was awesome, dammit!!!

Zipsoutsider in 3...2...1...

Seriously? It is unusual for assistants to stay and I am betting it will not be tough for Mounds to find a better paying gig.

Btw, I'd flunk Recruiting 101^^

I have no idea what he means by "NLI are good for 3 days."

Most people would flunk. It's like the US tax code - long and complicated so the average person doesn't understand it.

I'd certainly hope Arth would be targeting higher caliber players than he was at Chattanooga. If not, this will RI 2.0.

I don't think anyone would disagree with that in general terms. Just based off of what I can find regarding last year's recruiting class, he brought in at least 4 guys right out of high school who had FBS offers (2 of which has P5 offers). Our best QB this decade was a career FCS back up before transferring to Akron for their 5th year. We shouldn't be quick to write off anyone just because they might have been a level lower.

It's encouraging to hear he was able to land some guys who had what would normally be viewed as "better offers elsewhere." Hopefully he can do the same here.

Found some names seemingly worth knowing about here. Upon further look, I was wrong. 4 of them had P5 offers per 247.

It was crappy for KD to take guys with him and it'd be crappy for Arth to bring his guys here. Hopefully he can shore things over with our current class and maybe convince a couple guys he lost out on to bigger programs to come here.

Meh. We didn't like it when KD took guys and UTC fans don't have to like it if Arth takes a few guys. Literally every other coach does it and we paid UTC their money. I don't think its fair to hold our staff to some higher ethical standard than the rest of the country.

I don't think it is fair to say that the coach is "taking" guys. Many players sign because they want to play specifically for that coach. I'm not sure that is the case for anyone here, but if players want to come and Arth thinks they are good enough, I would welcome them with open arms.

I really didn't blame players for following KD either, especially Dunn-Martin who made it clear from the beginning that he had a lot of loyalty to KD due to only getting one offer.
