Captain Kangaroo Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 Figured a match up so critical to the Zips' championship aspirations merited a game day thread.... 2 Quote
NWAkron Posted October 31, 2017 Report Posted October 31, 2017 Thanks for the reminder. Something to watch tonight... Quote

K92 Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 So pumped! You guys know how much I love Rocky Boiman. Quote
LZIp Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Rourke, for those of you who don't recall, is the QB that OU beat us out for. I think after that is when we went after Johns. He's had a pretty nice year after taking sole possession of the starting job around week 2. 1 Quote
K92 Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 I hope Coach Amato is watching carefully. Quote
zipsoutsider Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 (edited) ZN fans would be having a fit if we ran that trick play with a 7-0 lead, lol. Edited November 1, 2017 by zipsoutsider Quote
K92 Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 I hate OU. I hate their fans and I hate their shi!tty band. Quote
zippy5 Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Let's hope we have a better start against OU than Miami Quote

LZIp Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 That was a man's run by Alonzo Smith there. Bahl looks talented (makes sense as he was highly rated for a MAC recruit), but prone to making some dumb decisions. Quote

I've watched a couple OU games this year & I like his style/swagger. He's got big-play potential, but also has a tendency to force things & turn the ball over (just going by what I've observed; I haven't looked at stats). He's definitely entertaining to watch. 1 Quote

K92 Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 On the other channel. . . How bad is Kent? Quote
akzipper Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 I don't think Akron can beat either one of these teams. 8 touchdowns so far and Gardner looks unstoppable. Quote

zipsoutsider Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Both beatable. Ohio is well coached. This could turn out into a high scoring game. They are going to try to wear down the D with the run against us. It will be a tremendous test of bend but don't break because they lull you to sleep with the run and then go for the big play. Ohio is efficient in the red zone but I think we can score on their secondary. Could be a good night for Wolfe. It will be tough to run against Ohio. Their all star LB is excellent. Miami is not as bad as people think but we can beat them, especially if we can force them to throw on 3rd down. They are on the verge of being unhinged tonight, fighting with the head coach and refs. I think if we throw stunts at them early and get them to lose their composure we could run away with it. If they keep their composure, we will still have a couple of take-aways. I could see a big night for Sands against Miami. 1 Quote
skip-zip Posted November 1, 2017 Report Posted November 1, 2017 Well, as this Miami loss seem imminent, they are virtually eliminated from the race. So now the path becomes clear: Miami Game - Doesn't matter. OU - Win Kent - Win MAC East Champs 2 Quote
