Blue & Gold
I think he'll have to sit one to play two. Also ranked a 3-star prospect by ESPN.com (per South Carolina's website). Edited April 29, 2018 by Blue & Gold
Blue & Gold
Oops, umm, this is embarrassing. I misspelled his name in the thread title. Could a mod edit?
Let'sGoZips94
Holy crap. Did we have a scholly left?

No. Unless one of the new people is walking on for a season, somebody else must be leaving. I have noticed on Verbal Commits, it says that Xeyrius Williams is committed without an offer. I thought it was just a dumb mistake, but that might be the extra scholly
UAZippers
I see Khadim is from Victory Rock Prep. Same school as Deng Riak and Loren Jackson (whose dad is the coach). Quite the connection if these guys work out and we keep getting quality players from the program.
dre22era
Quote He appeared in 45 games, recording a total of 11 points and 38 rebounds. After logging 13 minutes at Tennessee on Feb. 13, Gueye didn’t play again in 2017-18. He was a three-star recruit who also had interest from Arizona State. http://www.thestate.com/sports/college/university-of-south-carolina/usc-mens-basketball/article207152904.html
akronzips71
So did he not play because he really sucks, or did he not play because they are a high quality program and they had better big men he could not unseat?

Rumor has it he didn't play because SC doesn't believe 7' is tall enough to be considered a big man, and he didn't have the dribbling skills to be a PG. kreed5120
I'm going to guess the fact he's averaging a turnover every 3.28 minutes plays a factor in why he hasn't played more at South Carolina.
LZIp
Yeah this is interesting considering I thought we were full on scholly's. My totally uniformed opinion - Zipmeister brought up Williams' academics for some odd reason. I'm starting to think he is ineligible this year and doesn't count as a scholly? So as it stands right now, this thread is irrelevant? I think we're finding out very quickly that off-seasons with Groce will NOT be boring. kreed5120
Just because we might not have any current available scholarships for 2019 doesn't mean we won't have at least one by next April. It's highly probable that 1 or more players transfer.

I'd assume they will stabilize in a year or two when he has a roster full of his guys and class numbers somewhat evened out

NWAkron
Gueye isn't doing that great at Tampa and stats said he had a disqualification from a game...but no reason why.
