Not going to get into some in-depth post regarding the state of the program yet, but I'll just say hopefully we can build on it. Another should be win next week vs CMU. If we take care of business, we all of the sudden have a winning record again. What's up with Brian Bell? I don't recall him getting injured vs Buff, but he didn't play much then either. It's 12:50.......and kent state still sucks! Bell was injured in the Northwestern game. but came back later to play. I think he had been nursing a hamstring injury and it got worse in Buffalo. This year they have victories over Purdue and Toledo. Watch out for the Eagles. They have a big game with Army this coming weekend at home, which will tell us more as Army is 5-2 and kicked the snot out of Buffalo. The OTs were played right in front of Akron band and the few fans who stayed to the bitter end. I was shocked at the mass exodus of Kent fans sometime after half time with it being tied up. The crowd turned pro-Akron after that (at least vocally). The energy was great on the south side of the stadium and we had a lot of fun.
Captain Kangaroo
I was in the Frankfurt airport this morning going through Customs in my Akron hoodie when a guy in line turned to me and said "Go Zips! Nice win on Saturday." Later on I turned to a guy in a Purdue hat in the same line and said "Nice win over the Buckeyes on Saturday. He said "Thanks! You guys won in overtime, right?" Nice, globally-recognized win by the Zips on Saturday! Always fun to rock the UA gear in airports after a big win.

Athletics expenditures should be lumped under Marketing. Go Zips!

Hope he is well for this weeks game, turnovers haven’t been the same in his absence.
