RPI no longer counts, but for the record we are now #34. UWV is #1, and we are ahead of Gonzaga, which has a 212 SOS compared to our 114 (courtesy of games vs UWV and Louisville)

This is so nostalgic to look at. All the years of going to this website to watch us climb from a preseason ~100 team, to cracking the top 100, to landing somewhere in the 60-70 range with maybe a quick peak in the top 40 or 50.

And if we played them again we wouldn't have to suffer through Big Dog's FT shooting!  ??

Yardbarker lists Akron as 1 of 5 Cinderellas to watch. Duquesne was listed as another.

"Junior big man Michael Hughes swats 5.2 shots per 40 minutes, and Duquesne only allows a conference-low 60.0 points per game in A-10 play."

Wasn't he one of ours?

There is only one path to the Dance for us, and it ain't easy. Don't think this article makes sense.

It's just a list of teams for fans of college basketball to keep an eye on. None of them are anywhere close to being a lock to make the tournament, and honestly the only two that have any prayer of getting an at-large would be Duquesne and NIU.

As I recall he hurt his back and didn't play much the second half of the season. He looked to be a mini Big Dog. He looks a lot different these days having dropped about 30 lbs.

I was looking at the overall standings for all D-1 leagues and ESPN and I noticed something. There is only one conference in D-1 basketball that still lists its standings by division and it is not the one with the most teams. Care to guess who it is? Its time for the MAC to dump that and just do the overall standings and allow the schedule to be more free form. Since the two seed is no longer guaranteed to one of the division winners in the tournament, it would be lot fairer to not always have to play two games against your division (especially since in most years the East has been significantly better than the West). In crossover games this year the East leads the West 16-8.

If the MAC coaches wanted to do away with divisions, it would have already been done. Divisions minimize travel costs and makes it easier for student athletes to attend class.

I politely call BS. We have to be one of the most concentrated conferences in the country. An extra trip to Muncie instead of BG isn't really going to make a difference.

So why do you think they have two divisions?

Because the MAC is constantly one of the least forward-thinking conferences in the NCAA. They are constantly behind the trends instead of getting ahead of them.

And yes I'm aware I'm not @zippy5
