I believe so. I remember our discussion being about why he had no D1 offers despite being 2x Pennsylvania POY, or something along those lines.

When in doubt, check Twitter. Haha. Looks like Stallworth and Keylen Davis are still in this class, but were not early enrollees.

Think it’ll be a nice one too. Not too often he sends out these types of tweets for commits (based on our small sample size).

I wonder if a QB, from what I’ve watched we only have Irons & in my opinion he relies on his athleticism & takes off to soon, we really need another QB

Looks like he’s started a couple games throughout his career and played a decent amount, but not a ton in the way of stats. Still should be able to produce in the MAC with that talent though. 2 years of eligibility left.

Yep! Talent wise, he’s now the most talented WR on the roster. Let’s hope the staff brings out the best in George and Adams. They could be dynamic.

So our WRs are LSU, Pitt, and Penn State. Our TEs are Bama & WVU. RBs are Kansas State & Minnesota. OL has Penn State and Houston (not sure if I'm missing anyone).

So on offense, the QB is the only non P5 position group, and the guy held his own against a P5 opponent with FCS talent around him.

Sheesh.

Idk who George is but Singleton & Adams look good in practice

Not a knock on either one of those guys. I’m excited to see how both continue to develop. It was more of a compliment to George and what he could potentially bring to the table.

Coach JoeMo is succeeding above and beyond my expectations for what type of players he'd be able to bring in to Akron in his first year.  I thought we'd have to sputter through a couple of years to get some traction before even dreaming of attracting talent like this.  I mean, we've been the worst team in college football for three years now.  What he's doing is truly amazing to me.  Imagine what JoeMo could do here if we actually develop a winning culture/reputation.

I'd still like to see us bring in a QB who is able to give Irons some competition.

It’s incredible what JoeMo is doing. Jim Mora is doing something similar at UCONN. Don Brown at UMASS has probably brought in the least amount of talent as far as new head coaches go for 2022.

I suspect another QB will be brought in before it’s all said and done. Players are piling into the portal this month as spring ball wraps up across college football.

Before the Caden Clark & Daniel George signings, were the the 69th ranked Transfer Class in college football and 110th overall (between recruits and transfers) according to 247. I'd imagine both give us a healthy bump.

The impact of the experience on this staff cannot be understated. Guthrie absolutely nailed this hire, and Moorhead filled his staff perfectly. There are not many G5 schools that can offer the facilities and playing time opportunities that Akron can, and no other G5 program can offer what this coaching staff can.

Ohio sports betting won't be legal yet before this season, but if there's a bet for the most improved college football team, I'd take Akron.
