Spoke to him a while back, before social media briefly buzzed about his last name. Very respectful kid. I hoped we would offer as I think he’ll turn out to be a productive player. Last name isn’t pronounced the way it would get an announcer fired.

His highlights are solid. He's a heck of an athlete. Unfortunately for him, KSUcks students might try to get him cancelled.

I’ll update this thread soon. We only have 14 scholarship seniors by my count and a few of them may have an extra year. With that being the case, it’s not surprising we do not have many high school commitments - especially considering JoeMo prefers to take around 12-15 HS players per class.

I haven’t looked, but assuming the statement was correct, I’d assume it’s only from a high school perspective. With the amount of turnover they’ve had and with their focus on trying the Arth method with high schoolers, it’s likely more related to numbers than quality.

I think they got their wires crossed. Kent is currently in the top half of the MAC with their 2025 prep class. Definitely not #1 though. They do have some good players in there, but it’s more due to quantity like @LZIp mentioned.

I’ve said in the past that Rivals has underrated a number of our prep players. They tend to grade (or downgrade) most of them to 2 stars. Interesting that Golden, Norton, Rush, James, Nunnally, and Moore are heading out the door as 3 stars.

Bump for update.

 

We’ve moved up to 7th in conference rankings. If Rivals would include UMASS, we’d be sitting at 8th. Toledo and Miami’s classes are clearly a step above the rest. Bowling Green is probably locked in at the third spot, but after that, it’s really just a toss-up. 
 

I don’t think this class is as strong as our last two, but that might not matter much if we hit at a high rate on positions of need.
