He also seems to be a bit of a nomad—hasn’t stuck around at one school for more than a year outside of his GA and playing days.

This is really a shady thing for this coach and ODU to do. If an employee doesn't want to be around, don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

The article states: "Reed comes to ODU after spending the 2024 season at Akron coaching the corners. Reed helped the Zips to their best season in seven years."

With how bad Akron is financially it wouldn't surprise me if they voluntarily allowed him to leave in a cost savings move.
