ZippyDoo Posted Tuesday at 01:24 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 01:24 AM Nebraska Offensive Line: Tackle 6'5 325 guard 6'6 320 center 6'1 315 guard 6'5 315 tackle 6'10 320 Zips had 1 qb hurry and zero sacks against wyoming. Raiola threw 42 times against Cincinnati. Good chance he tops that... I think i'm taking the huskers -34.5... Quote
ZippyRulz Posted Tuesday at 04:40 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 04:40 AM Let me guess... the over under is also 34.5? 5 Quote
ZippyDoo Posted Tuesday at 12:00 PM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 12:00 PM Believe it or not the over under is 47/5 or 48 depending.... Maybe the Zips offense will break out... Honestly, I hope that something positive can come out of the game for them to build on. If the Zips can go 2-2 the first four games then I would still consider that a success heading into conference play. 3 1 Quote

Story time: Dominick Raiola the QB's dad is a friend. 30+ yrs ago I sat at many U of Hawai'i baseball games with him and his two sons, both of whom went on to play center in the NFL. Dominick played football at the U. in Miami and when he learned I was from Akron he talked all about his former teammate Jay Brophy from Kenmore High. They were very close in college and maintained contact for a while after, when Jay played for the Dolphins. Well, I discovered Brophy in a Facebook discussion a few years ago with another friend who may or may not be here on ZN.org. I started a side talk with Jay, telling him I knew his former U of M teammate, and asking if he had any stories about Dominick Raiola. His only remark back was that because of the number of times he was hit in the head in his playing days, he could not remember ANY of his teammates and has difficulty even remembering anything about his football career without being prompted by his friends and family. This reality about what happens as a result of our National Passtime makes me very reticent to adopt any emotional closeness to the sport. 1 Quote
KentZip Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago I gave 33.5 and took the Huskers. Can’t see Akron team from last week scoring a point. Hope I’m wrong Quote

Maybe he was from Kenmore. 1 Quote

He wants to be Patrick Mahomes so bad it's cringeworthy. 1 Quote
GP2 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Let’s hope Nebraska has built a proper amount of hotels this time and doesn’t try to screw us over again. Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted 57 minutes ago Report Posted 57 minutes ago Forecast looks good for this one, unlike last time when Nebraska dodged an upset loss in Scott Frost's debut. Unfortunately for us, this one won't be cancelled. 1 Quote
GJGood Posted 33 minutes ago Report Posted 33 minutes ago I get that this is a paycheck game and a somewhat necessary thing to happen for the coffers, but I would love to see the contract deal sweetened a bit where we also ink a basketball game with whomever we play in these “paycheck” football games. Nebraska and Akron on the hardwood could be interesting. 2 Quote
