MDZip Posted Wednesday at 08:20 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 08:20 PM Zips can still make playoff without winning this game but man what a disappointment if they can't pick up three at home against Marquette. Creighton (3 points ahead of the Zips) plays Seton Hall (2 points ahead of the Zips). Rooting for the tie. 😊 Quote

However, if Akron wins, there's no harm in a Creighton win, as Akron would still win the division with a win in the final match. If I really went in-depth on the tiebreakers, maybe I would have a different opinion. 😆 Quote

Chad is very knowledgeable about the players and is very passionate about the Zips. Chad always does a good job. 2 Quote

MDZip Posted Saturday at 11:11 PM Report Posted Saturday at 11:11 PM With Creighton picking up a point tonight Zips must get at least a tie to stay in contention for the Midwest title. Quote
MDZip Posted Saturday at 11:19 PM Report Posted Saturday at 11:19 PM Zips have only three shots and one shot on goal. If they can't beat this Marquette team they probably don't deserve to be in the tournament. 1 Quote
MDZip Posted Saturday at 11:27 PM Report Posted Saturday at 11:27 PM And just like that, a Stefan Dobrijevic PK puts the Zips on top. 1 Quote

72 Roo Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM Not the type of play that will advance us in the playoffs, but it was enough to beat Marquette. This is a curious team. They have the talent to play at the highest level, yet they have not put it all together. Where was Remi? Ferguson cannot play FWD at the level we need. He would be better converted to D so he could get playing time in the future. I also echo another poster: where is Borneo? Is he back in the doghouse? Regardless our MF doesn't have it. They were all world against St L. U. and then fell off the face of the earth. Stefan and Jack Roman are consistent and bring quality. The rest have to show up sometime. As we are playing now we cannot go deep in the tourney. We'll get in, but I'm not expecting a lot. 3 Quote
TennZip Posted yesterday at 02:04 AM Report Posted yesterday at 02:04 AM Attendance of 1,242 that is very disappointing last regular season home game the zips are number 20 in the coaches rankings the zips are number 12 in RPI. The Zips are competing for a Big East division title. why is attendance so poor? 1 1 Quote
Zip_ME87 Posted yesterday at 03:13 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 03:13 AM (edited) Nice win with what seemed to be several players unavailable. Great to see Malik Henry in attendance tonight. Edited 17 hours ago by Zip_ME87 2 Quote

Also no group of youth players as lineup buddies so that can account for ~50 people. But not any real promotions, the end of the season has been like this for years now Quote

I hoped it would change between Guthrie and Goodrich but it seems to be the same. It is disappointing and the team of the past 2 years, deserves much better. Borneo not playing is a question mark, but it looked like Zips only had 7 subs yesterday and he was in zips attire not dressed to play. My assumption would be injury. Zips miss his skill. It was a must win game, and this team got it done without a bunch of key pieces available. Credit where is due. 5 Quote
