Game 10- Tulane

We can’t seem to figure out this zone and Tulane is  getting long rebounds on their offensive end. Add to the fact it’s a road game and we are in a real battle.

Tulane is getting a lot of open looks from 3. Fortunately for us they haven't been able to knock them down.

They just mentioned that Tulane and Akron have only met once in their history and it was in 2019 at the DC holiday hoops that Akron won 62-61. I was at that game and the following game when they lost to Liberty. Six years goes by fast. 😊

Nothing is coming easy for the Zips today, but they keep swinging.

Love the effort on the boards by the Zips.  It seems that with the zone it gives us numerous opportunities to hit the boards.  We seem to be the more physical team which I am sure pleases Groce.  Tevari just continues to play well making the open shot and finding the open man.  Marvin needs to make them bunnies!!

Tevari currently  playing as well as any Akron guard that I have seen in the past.

Thank goodness Tavari, Shammah and Amani packed their 3 point shots. It’s been the difference maker in my opinion.

I think if I was Coach Groce I'd tell Hardman, if you get an opportunity on a catch and shoot three fire it up, otherwise pass it. 😊

Groce said pregame they gotta limit the turnovers, Tulane now has 20 points off TOs, not gonna be happy about that

I will say these announcers are some of the better ones I've seen on ESPN+

This is just the type of thing that drives Groce crazy- this team's propensity to not step on the neck's of their opponents when they get a decent lead.

The Marshall color guy was still the best.

They mix in some nice graphics and stuff throughout. If I didn't know better I would think it was a real cable broadcast. Kudos to their production team.

I find it funny when they talk about Akron's magic number for scoring being 85. Almost any team would win every game if they scored at least 85.
