    Also it’s kind of crazy to me that a 13-5 Buffalo and 14-4 Akron are playing in a sparsely attended game. Remember when Buffalo had a respectable student section? Times have changed pretty quick.

    Could just be a walk on, but giving up scholarship + exposure at Akron vs likely being buried on depth chart aand paying your own way at Texas feels like a head scratching move.

    Just saw that. Good for him, but seems a bit crazy. Also, he just entered a few days ago and somehow ends up at Texas? Feel tampering-ish to me.

    Feels like we should be set on offense aside from the TE position. Nice that we kept Williams/Mason/Gant/Patrick. Still feels like we have a lot of work to do on the defensive side.

    You can now play 3/4 the season in football, but you can’t play in one of ~30 games for basketball. What are we doing here

    Ehh he lit it up at FCS level for multiple years, enough to warrant going to Miami. From there he was behind the #1 overall NFL draft pick, then at North Texas he was behind one of if not the most coveted QB of this year’s portal class. I think its a pretty good get considering circumstances.

    I’m honestly more excited about Beals. We heard the talk of Broughton last year…but IMO it’s sort of telling that he didn’t see the field at all. I don’t have a dog in the fight though, just win baby!

    Do we know if we get DeWalt back next year? If so, I think we’re set on paper at least at starting CB. Catrell White was the day 1 starter last year (and was looking really good), but has had season ending injuries each of the past 2 seasons. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

    I would think anybody who commits after a certain date is going to have to wait to enroll after this semester is over. Not much different than it’s historically been. Only change (based on my understanding) is no more portal entries can occur after the 16th.
