  1. Isaiah Walker already off the roster. SMH
  2. I’ll throw my hat in the ring and say I think we have our OL fixed. Another offseason of development for the young guys, brought in numerous guys with P5 talent and good JUCO/FCS accolades. My prediction with probably a bit of homerism: 6-6. But going 4-8 worst case. Would feel better if OOC wasn’t such a gauntlet. Not only win wise, but also in terms of staying healthy. I personally think the program really hits its stride next year.
  3. Probably the same at every MAC school. I wonder how our football budget compares to the rest of the conference. Truly don't know.
  4. Feels like we’re off to a really strong start with this class.
  5. Hasn’t seem to have done much this far in his career. Walk on at Michigan, walk on at Maryland (playing on special teams), few seasons of a couple hundred rushing yards at UT Martin. Depth piece which was needed, but probably at least 3rd on the depth chart and maybe builds some goodwilll with St Eds..
  6. Funniest thing I've seen today. Yikes that was bad.
  7. ESPN+ has Mac media day replay on demand. Zips segment starts at little after 2:05. mostly coach speak/stuff we already know: - need to get the run game going. Simmons has been doing good so far - Finley won games at NC st and Cal. He’s looked good so far - safeties/CBs might have most depth and competition on the team. I think this is good to hear considering DL and LB group is a little more proven with returners form last year. - Joe keeps it real with the scheduling talk. Definitely acknowledges the difficulty of OOC.
  8. After this year, our future non-conference schedules actually look quite reasonable. 2025: Wyoming, @ Nebraska, @ UAB, and Duquesne 2026 (not quite as easy but still acceptable): @ Wake Forest, Robert Morris, @ Minnesota, UNLV 2027: @ Rutgers, @ UNLV, Maine
  9. Saw a block and a put back dunk so far.
  10. UCONN is already in the Big East for basketball. Not sure AAC moves affecting football are going to drive them to the point of leaving the Big East in basketball.
  11. Boomers and drug dealers are all I can think of.
  12. No doubt. I like a lot of what this staff does, but not bringing in another QB could really come back to bite us if the plan is to start Finley at the beginning of the season (which they should). Going to be a tall task for the OL to keep those P4 players from getting to our QB in our meat grinder OOC schedule.
  13. Hunter was here last year, and did pretty well, but seemed oft injured.
  14. Thanks for the update. Unfortunately the responsibility of children being on their own for the first time can be tough to manage. Seemed like half of my dorm floor failed out after my freshman year. I even failed Algebra my first semester due to not going to class (then got an A as I should have originally the 2nd time around). Best of luck to Zayden and hope to see him back in the Blue and Gold!
  15. Current scholarship chart attached. I'm showing 3 available spots still assuming we have both a Punter and Kicker on scholly. 38 total new scholarship prospects this year, with 25 from either JUCO or another college If it were me, I'd look to add at least another QB and possibly RB. 16. Just took a look at the current roster. Two new names to keep an eye on: Ahmarian Granger: Former WR at Old Dominion. Part time starter last year, committed to James Madison this recruiting cycle, but never ended up there..possibly as a result of their coach getting poached to Indiania. Issiah Walker: looked like a big time prospect coming out of high school. Apparently spent time at both Florida, Miami, and JUCO. Had a lot of offers (and commitments) this most recent recruiting cycle, including to Colorado. Ultimately was supposed go to to Texas State, but ended up here. Apparently only a redishirt Jr, but seems like one we shouldn't get our hopes up about being here more than a year. Regardless, could be a real nice plug at one of the tackle positions for this season. Also noticed two more OL: Alex Fox from IUP (D2) and Jacob Kumfert from St Francis (PA). Those seem to be more walk on caliber based on their collegiate stats/initial prospect pedigree.
  17. Day made. Happy for Enrique and all associated with getting him there!
  18. Lets go! Hopefully a foundational piece that can give this class some momentum.
  19. Sitting across from a girl at the airport who has a Kent sticker on her computer (along with a sticker that says "boxed water is better"). She lifted her arm up and of course has a pit full of hair. The jokes write themselves. Dirty hippies.
  20. I hate the game myself, or at the very least only want one of these a year (and not 2-3 depending on how you look at it this year), but I bet we're getting closer to $2mm from OSU, and I believe a pretty sizeable buyout from Kentucky for them not coming here as well. We are making out quite well for this embarrassment.
  21. Right there with you. Was cool to be a student during that time, but had no idea all the expansion wasn't done in a responsible manner. With that said, many universities are facing similar challenges, with smaller ones even closing. So not an issue unique to us at all, but we dealt with it earlier and the reputation from that seems to have had a lingering effect.
  22. I just know players were never "forced out" at anywhere close to the rate that they are now.
  23. Not that I am aware of. However, the Simmons, Williams, and Finely commitments we received this year did not have offers announced ahead of time if I recall correctly. We had added a WR and DL this cycle, and may have more schollies available than known.
