Akron over Miami by 15 in the MACC. We come out super motivated and play well while Miami is cocky about having already secured an NCAAT bid (in their minds) and are unfocused. Miami has has players get into foul trouble because the refs actually call a fair game where Suder can't just bulldoze through the lane with his shoulder down and no intention of getting a quality shot. I wouldn't be surprised if Miami losses to either UMass or Toledo though either.

I feel you could make a decent fan committee from just this forum. We have people from all walks of life. Some former players. Many die-hard 30+ year fans. Some more recent grads. Many Akron alumni and a few who weren't that still want to support the local team. Just take 10 people from this board and mix in 2-3 current students and there you go, you have your committee. No need to do a further search. -

Also interesting timing to get it out the door. They also must be reading the board. Funny how the message references how busy they’ve been. -
I did not see it posted anywhere else, so I'm sharing here that Troy won the Sun Belt Tournament. This loss looks much better in hindsight, especially considering it was on the road, and they shot lights out while we played mediocre at best.
-
I think Miami's best and most important player is Elmer.
-
I could understand this if the narrative-pushing media voted on this but the coaches? Certainly, some privilege occurring here.
-
-
I just corrected it. I meant SEC; was looking at ACC basketball standings prior to the post lol.
-
Other than flipping the Big 12 and ACC in this comment, this is why it doesn't make much sense for teams to be spending big to go from G6 to G6.
-
Beyond the MAC will end up being the MAC. Unless a school latches onto the Big Ten or SEC (MAYBE the Big 12), they will eventually end up in the same spot as the MAC.
-
Incompetent morons (minus Groce).
-
Key Voting Details: Football: Head coaches vote on All-MAC teams and specialty awards. Basketball (Men's & Women's): Head coaches vote on All-MAC teams and specialty awards. Restrictions: Coaches cannot vote for their own players. I wonder if the fired coaches bothered to vote!

Wouldn't you imagine Evan would have to guard Byers? Not sure who else would be able to take that assignment given his 6'8" frame. I think we might rely on Eric to guard Suder.
-
That's a heap of ****. Here's for using it for motivation for Tavari to show why he is the best player in the MAC and for Evan to just plain shut down Suder and show why he's DPOY Hell, Suder has better numbers last year!
-
Who votes on this?
-
He was MAC Player of the Week a whopping 0 times
-
Suder isn't top 5 in a single statistic. What an absolute joke. This Miami OH story is incredibly annoying.
-
I looked at Miami's message board and even they were surprised that Suder won POTY.
-
Elmer is the best player on Miami OH and I don't think it's particularly close. Suder has the ball in his hands more, but Elmer is what makes Miami OH anywhere near respectable.
-
This might be sacrilegious to say, but I don't think Suder should even be the 2nd choice. Gillespie IMO was the 2nd best player in the MAC this season. I can see Suder at #3.
-
I will take UMass for the block.
-
Apart from the POY ( would any coach choose Suder over Tavari for their team?), good representation for Akron.
