I do not bet on sports but based on your recent hot streak, I am tempted.

I would also like to see us go to a bowl. We have had such a long streak of losing that winning 6 games and going to a bowl is indicative of a successful season. I hope if we do win 6 we ask the NCAA for an exemption from their ruling we are not bowl eligable and that take them to court if they do not back down. My understanding is that Michigan is bowl eligable because the people who cheated are no longer with the team and the NCAA felt it was wrong to penalize the current team for misdeeds of the people who are no longer with the team. Using that logic, Akron should also be bowl eligible.

One game at a time, of course...focus on UConn. However, I will note that Providence with an RPI currently at 72 will be fighting hard for the Conference automatic qualifier...their only ticket to the 2025 NCAA Tourney.

Time for some UConn payback (maddening we have not beaten them in conference yet) and then returning the favor on Georgetown when we were the #1 seed and 7-0-1 in confidence last year. Let's go Zips!

Zips SOS went 3-0 today. Murray state beat the worst time in D1 by a ton. Bucknell beat the last year 16 seeded Mount and Purdue beat Oakland… by only 10. Interesting one. But more good results!

The MAC went 4-0 today against Mid major or under competition. NIU is losing to wisconsin

Is that the year we got ran off the field by Toledo in Detroit? Going to the MAC championship with some college buddies was a fun experience regardless of result. We haven’t had much to enjoy being a Zips football fan, so I’ll take what I can get. If either Wyoming or UAB can pull off an upset, they are bowling. Even if not, im not sure they’re that much worse than other middling conference teams, and I think we’re better now. If we lose to the top teams (Miami, Toledo), have a winning record against decent teams (CMU, Buffalo, Ball State), and sweep the floor with the teams we’re supposed to beat, I’d say we’re a good team that deserves to play in a bowl.

I sometimes forget there are more than 30-40 soccer programs in the country because I don't think I've ever seen Akron outside of the top 30-40 in 20 years.

Best Zips’ overall performance this season.

Creighton is a good team, no doubt. They have one of the best stadiums in the country, but not surfaces. They are also riddled with thugs and cry babies. They are not as quality of a program as I once thought. How sweet it was to win the division at their place, in front of their fans and end their season. Go Zips! on to the BE tournament and a high seeding in the NCAA's.

I have to reiterate this. I have every confidence this team can find their way to prevail. So happy to see them well supported on the road. Kudos to Mitch Budler's family and friends and all other Zips fans who were able to travel and celebrate with our team as they win the Big East Midwest Division in a very challenging locale.
