Ever since that game years ago when Darlington Nagbe got the ball kicked at his head from close range during a play stoppage, and Bleum said that it should have only been a Yellow Card, I knew this guy was an a-hole. I love beating him, love watching their two busloads of students going home from Akron every other year after another loss, and love keeping the long undefeated streak against the Suckeyes going strong.

Yes you need cable logins for both. Specifically you need to have a login that has FSOhio to watch the Cavs games on Fox Sports Go. I just borrow my parents login as they are too old school to ever cut the cord. Maybe see if you can do that or make a deal with a friend/family member. You could also subscribe to Sling TV (not sure if you could get cavs, but could find out) or Playstation vue for 20-35 a month.

This game isn't technically part of our midweek agreement with ESPN. The official MACtion midweek games don't start until November. This game is just a set up so that our schedule can be aligned to allow us to play on Wednesday next week. Most of the time this would have been our bye week in the season, but for some reason it didn't work out that way this year.

A 5-3 Akron vs. a 1-6 Buffalo with a 17 1/2 point spread. I'm not surprised 1 bit that it didn't get picked up. If I wasn't an Akron fan there is no way in hell I'd consider watching this game. There are too many other better games on in that time slot. The App State - Georgia Southern is clearly a better game and so is OU - Toledo. That doesn't even count VA Tech - Pitt or the NFL. I don't know whose playing in the high school game, but it is clearly a high profile game that will appeal to high school football enthusiasts and college football fans that want a 1st look at their recruits. No doubt in my mind it would pull better ratings than Akron - Buffalo. People need to take off their blinders. This should be a crap game and if its not you should be disappointed as a fan because that means the Zips under performed.

I couldn't disagree with this more. It wasn't that long ago I would have to drive somewhere to get the AM signal so I could listen to the radio broadcast. Now I get to watch out team no matter where and when they play. To me the WatchESPN app is the greatest thing ever. on a side note: Whether we are on ESPN or ESPN3 it all pays the same.

Honestly, if we are only getting ESPN3coverage out of this, it ain't worth it.

Davis is 5 months removed from his HS graduation. I look forward to seeing what he can do as he matures. Him at 175 lbs would be a terror (more so than he already is). He gave a great post game interview a couple weeks ago where reeled off several of the tackling drills the did at Aquinas to help him bring down bigger, stronger guys. I hope he's spreading some positive love regarding the Zips back to his HS...we need as many well-coached ballers like him as we can get.

I'm watching the broadcast replay of the game. In that first minute, yes, Woodson was "Woodside", but also Natson was "Watson". Go to about the 8:50 mark to hear and see the "Ulysses Grant" reference.

I despise when people make judgements about the players motivation. If you are not on the team, anything you have is second-hand and you are getting it from one person's perspective and that person, has a bias, whether they are aware, or not. It does no one any good to cast aspersions of character and motivation. If you have something negative to say about a player's character, IMHO, you better be willing to name the source (and by name, I mean name - not just someone close to the team, or someone on the team.). Otherwise, it is better kept it to yourself. These kids have enough to deal with in their lives without grown adults destroying their character on a public forum.

I 100% agree. Don't mention something if you don't intend to even hint at what it might be. There are so many posts sometimes it's just too hard to keep track of who says what. All I know is some of these rumors are more than just rumors.

"Something big is going to happen, but I'm not going to tell you what it is" is not information. It's a waste of everyone's time.
