  1. My favorite game of any type of all time. NCAA tournament on the line against a good Kent team, in OT with that final flurry and defensive stops. Can't ask for much more than that as a fan.

  2. Big Dog dominates his position on the offensive end. Defense - Meh. Zeke dominated on the defensive end. Offense - Meh. I voted for Big Dog because, night-in-night-out he's a man amongst boys. And, a superior passer to Zeke. If 'Dog can win an NCAA tourney game, that would close the polls in his favor. Both are/were great MAC centers. If we could consistently recruit bigs like either of them into our Program every 3-4 years, life would be pretty good.

  3. Not even close to me, no question hands down Zeke. He changed the game in ways that weren't always reflected in the stats (like people not driving to the hoop when he was patrolling it). Plus will probably stay ahead of Dig Dog in total points for a career and oh yeah the leading shot blocker in MAC history!

  5. Zeke was the ultimate "you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone" for me. He drove me bonkers for 4 years, but the second he wasn't on the floor for the Zips, I realized just how valuable he was. With our perennial inability to stop dribble penetration, he was the perfect solution. He eventually became decent on defense. RIght now, he gets my vote. That may change in the next couple of months, but for now, I vote Zeke.

  6. He never got a MAC Tournament MVP when it mattered, like Zeke did. I have to go with Zeke due to getting 9 blocks in my all time favorite championship game with this ending...Plus Zeke took us to the NCAA's twice while Romeo and Big Dog haven't (not yet).

  7. I only wonder why Mr. Blue and Gold would not let us Geriatric, Wheelchair-bound people in our 50's or older go back beyond J. Wood? Romeo (a post player on a team that had no "Center") is the only "big man" in Zips D-1 history that holds a Conference MVP award.

  8. I went with Big Dog by a hair over Zeke, mainly due to motivation. I never had the impression Zeke's heart was in hoops (which is perfectly OK IMO).

  9. Zeke was also the best player on probably the program's best team ever, and that team still had some glaring holes. 19 game win streak, national ranking, MAC Championship, 12 seed in tournament. IF Big Dog leads us to an NCAA tourney win then I'll have to reconsider as that accomplishment blows everything else out of the water at this point.

  10. Zeke. Multiple reasons. 1) He's the only TRUE Center on that list. 7'0", long, and a true rim protector. 2) As previously mentioned, he changed the game in so many ways not reflected on the stat sheet. 3) Most importantly, just go watch the final 30 seconds of that MAC Championship Game Overtime WIN against Can't State. Would love to compile a front court of Zeke, JWood, and Big Dog, though. We'd go pretty deep in the NCAA tourney with that Front Court.

  11. As much as I've liked Zeke and Big Dog, I'm going with Jeremiah, simply because no one ever got all up in his grill without paying the price

  13. I might just be living in the moment, but went with Big Dog for the sole fact that we are 17-3 with him and am not sure we would be .500 without him.

  14. Did not want to start a new thread, but it seems were aren't the only ones who get crappy media coverage. Northwestern is 17-4 and currently 3rd in B1G standings.

  15. It's all good . The personal crap on here is stupid and immature. But, disagreeing on things is fine. In the end, we all know that we all want the same thing...success for the Zips. I'll readily admit that losing a few conference games is still the "probable" outcome. And I've stated why. These are college kids. They won't always perform like you want them to perform, regardless of their talent and the strength of this team. However, we've never had a situation like this before. We're nearly through half of the conference season without a loss. And even more importantly, we now know that there's probably not a formidable challenger out there. We're not talking about going on the road to play teams that are fighting against us for the top spot. We'll be going on the road to battle teams that might be barely at the .500 mark. And that's the best teams we will face. With all of the concerns aside about our SOS (which I agree with), this situation, this year, is a unique opportunity to do the only other thing we can do right now to raise our profile....post such a huge number of wins that people will not be able to ignore.

  19. Think of what someone like Michael Reghi can do with this stuff too! More opportunities for his "gems"... "Boy, Isaiah Thomas is really lightin' up the Bulls like a 200 Watt GE LED bulb tonight!" "It might be cold outside, but Al Horford is heatin' up like a GE GeoSpring hot water tank baby!"
