I will be holding down the western flank for Zips Nation tonight. Go Zips!!7 points

I know I'm in the far minority, but I'd like our next AD to be a basketball first guy. We keep investing money into football and not seeing any results. We keep just throwing bad money after bad money.3 points

KD's coming back in conjunction with UA joining the ACC. That was just as solid of a rumor.2 points

Never trailed. Great game. I'm glad NIU fought back, forcing us to face some adversity and respond. Hopefully Cheese's & Reece's injuries aren't serious. I thought this was one of Riak's best games in a Zips uniform, and Sayles' second best game this season (he was key against Balls). Not much more needs to be said about LCJ and Cheese other than what has already been said. Tribble provided great backcourt depth. Alone atop the MAC. 1-0 today. Go 1-0 on Saturday. Keep it going boys!2 points

And just watched the end of the Flushes and Sweaters. Miami tried really hard to choke it away and the Flushes choked it right back2 points

The 9-8 Toledo Rockets come into the JAR Saturday night fresh off a 74-67 loss to Central Michigan. The Rockets entered the season with high hopes as the number 1 West Division team in MAC Preseason Coaches Poll, however, they have had a rough spell since mid-December losing 6 of their last 7 (Kansas City, Wright State, Bradley, Ball St., PCCC and CMU). Junior guard Marreon Jackson and senior center Luke Knapke were named the All-MAC West Division Preseason team. Jackson averages 17.2 ppg along with 4.1 assists. Koepke scores 15.2 ppg while kicking in 8.1 rpg. Willie Jackson scores 11.5 a game and rebounds at an impressive 12.5 rpg. This game worries me. Toledo appears to have as much individual talent as any team in the MAC. Let’s hope they don’t come together in the JAR. The game is also a fundraiser for Norton teen Emma Pfouts. If the Zips have half the fortitude of that little girl, we're in for a great season.1 point

This is so nostalgic to look at. All the years of going to this website to watch us climb from a preseason ~100 team, to cracking the top 100, to landing somewhere in the 60-70 range with maybe a quick peak in the top 40 or 50.1 point

NIU must use the league website to develop their game plan. I thought it was a bold strategy to leave LCJ completely unguarded for the 1st 5 minutes of the game, but NIU must not of thought he was a threat because he hadn't recorded any stats to date ?1 point

The excitement on campus has been, rightfully so, for Men's basketball, and there's a HUGE one on Saturday against Toledo at 2, followed by the Women at 4:30 in a doubleheader. If you've got nothing better to do earlier except maybe grab a lunch to avoid the high cost of concessions at the JAR, think about making it a triple-header and stop at Ocacek, less than 50 yards from the front door of the JAR and watch the final home meet of the season for our 6 time MAC Swimming and Diving Champions, on their Senior Day. 11:30 for Senior Day activities and noon for the meet, then when you get bored and can't take the humidity and the smell of chlorine, you can go cheer on the Big Guys. Should be a good one against Eastern Michigan, probalby the #2 team in the MAC. Since it's a dual meet it'll go fast. Last time to catch Jessica Bonezzi, Ellie Nebraska (if she's healthy), Jackie Pash, Mackenzie Vargas, Morgan Waggoner swim and Katie Applin dive.1 point

Even better... go to the MAC Conference web page and look at the conference only stats. There's a stat for margin of victory. Zips are at 19.3. next is Ravenna at 7.0. also Cheese is over 20ppg and is 2nd ranking scorer in MAC. Lots of good stuff1 point

He's a junior who has actually graduated but we do expect to see him again next year. Might be a perfect situation.1 point

Considering what's going in is a surprise to all of us, we all are reasonable in our expectations. So cool to have a coach who doesn't whine about such things as rankings, scheduling, and tourney bids. Enjoy it while we can.1 point

The Zips now have a .500 record combined with football at 14-14. Wooohoooo!1 point

I agree an at-large realistically isn't feasible. I just keep bringing it up because I know how much it makes @clarkwgriswold cringe hearing.1 point

Blackford basketball is classified 2A this year. "Big School" classification in Indiana is 4A.1 point

I haven't watched any of videos and I'm by no means an expert on evaluating how a high school players talent will transfer to the next level. That being said, right now Akron is as good, if not better, than any other offer he has outstanding.1 point

The AK Rowdies need a few obnoxious leaders. There were 3 back in the day who were totally nuts and brutalized the opposing coaches. This year the male cheerleaders are picking up some of the slack. As for marketing, the athletic Dept is short-staffed. There's Williams, VanHorn, and a new guy. Franky, I'm not opposed to letting this team be a "best kept" secret for awhile. And while the Zips had two off seasons, the last few years of KD weren't that hot either.1 point

And what makes anyone think we can get a guy with this type of resume?1 point

Those KD people all sat in front of me. Don't miss them. And those who only show up now when team is winning...grrr1 point

Facing the right way, their center court looks like an owl. From this angle, it looks like an older gentleman with one hell of a stache.1 point

Thanks ! I’ll update info on games ...good luck to your team looks like you guys are a tourney threat from what I saw the other night1 point

Good point, ZipsVoice. @Let'sGoZips94 did us the courtesy of starting a separate Luke Brown thread transcribing all of @Blackford's information.1 point

Please don't take it the wrong way...it's just a little overwhelming is all, and as Capn said it's a long way off....I do like what your posting, just not in this thread....1 point

Thanks I appreciate it ...didn’t realize there was a spot or a spot could be made just for his information so I didn’t mean to crowd of over share1 point

Don't know why someone wouldn't appreciate your contribution. Thank you taking the time to provide so much info regarding a Zips recruit. He seems like a heck of a baller. But 2021 is a long ways away. Hope he doesn't get too big for us in the mean time. ?1 point

No offense to our new poster @Blackford, but maybe you should start a thread titled with this kid's name, and put the PR stuff there. Okay, we get it, he has talent....how many other school's sites are you posting this info on? We're not the ones making the scholly offers....1 point
