  1. Using UA-developed polymer technology to deconstruct plastics. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2022/03/recycling-the-once-unrecyclable-a-technology-born-in-akron-is-taking-shape-in-rural-indiana.html

  2. Dear God please don't roll out a "Z" focused logo while eff'n Putin is using it to represent support of his disgusting invasion of Ukraine. Every Russian tank has a "Z" on it (you can see it as it gets towed away by a Ukrainian farmer).

  3. A very interesting stat from the Kent-OU game… Cece Hooks for OU is one of the best players in league history. She went 4-21 from the field, and 0-11 at the FT line. That’s one of the most amazing stats I’ve ever seen in a basketball game at this level.

  4. The JAR would be a great atmosphere if it was sold out every game with a perennial top ten team in it. You ever been there? It's ancient. What two level arena has 8 rows in the bottom level? There's nothing remarkable about the design that I'd want to model an arena after.

  6. Just a little bit of sarcasm my friend. All I saw in it was a chance to be a smart ass. Many times that comes easily for me.

  7. All 11 offensive linemen on the roster are listed as SO or R-SO. With the covid year, the 2022 season will be the 3rd or 4th year on the roster for each of the linemen. So, yes, they should start sticking out and performing. I have supported the OL even though the overall performance has not been great since they were so young. Football Grandma pointed out a weakness on the line and when a change was made, OL performance improved. So, with the transfer of Bane and the new recruits, the line should start to being productive and a strength for the next several years.

  8. Ohio U (9-10) gets eighth seed over (10-10) KSU. That ain't right, even if it is KSU that loses out.

  9. No. If Cameron Indoor wasn't Cameron Indoor it would be a trash arena

  10. @Spin, actually, we'd have two parking decks on adjacent blocks: The West Campus Parking Deck and the Lock 3 parking deck (connected to the Barley House). But for me it's not necessarily the walk from the Carroll Street Parking Deck to the JAR. (Since we're an urban area we should expect to have to park & walk no matter where we build.) It's that the Carroll Street Parking Deck does nothing to facilitate any downtown activity. It's not walkable to/from Main Street and it's right next to the expressway. So I drive to the Carroll Street deck, park, walk to the JAR, watch the game, walk back to the Carroll Street deck, and drive home. It's a Zips game and nothing else. I'd love for Zips games to feel more like RubberDucks games.

  11. The Buchtelite is very closely related with WZIP and ZTV. Students often choose one if they want to get into media, and as you can imagine now, not many students want to be a part of a campus newspaper over award winning radio and TV stations. In the 2020-21 school year, they released one issue, basically just a bunch of testimonials about covid. It would be nice to get a WZIP reporter in there or something, I don't really know why that isn't the case.
