  2. My ideal game is a completely empty stadium, on a Saturday afternoon, with the exception of me and Mrs. GP1, the luckiest woman in the world. However, I know that isn't good for the program so I can only dream.

  3. I'm probably going to go. I went both in 2011 and 2021. Yeah it's not fun watching the zips get annihlated, but it is kinda cool to see the Zips in the shoe. In 2012 I went to see Akron play Tennessee and that was a wildly exciting game because the Zips played much better than anyone expected.

  4. All you have to do to fulfill your dream is to attend one of the Tuesday night games in late November.

  5. Maybe once. After that it's something I'm trying to avoid in this life.

  7. Being in the Akron section in 2021 when we scored first was electric. We got free tickets as students and were sitting 10 rows up from the field. It really was a cool environment, just a little more exciting than Tuesday Night MACtion

  8. Has anyone ever seen a study on whether the incidence of injury is higher in a game between a P5 and G5 team than any other regular season contest? I suspect there's not a lot of difference.

  9. Well everyone, I talked to the ticket rep at UA and renewed my season tickets. However, I told him that even though he had nothing to do with it, it was my duty as a fan to inform him that I was super disappointed to lose the Kentucky home game and replace it with an OSUcks away game. Surely that will show them. (It won’t).

  10. The system isn't necessarily designed to screw over the MAC or bottom 15 conferences. There are nearly 50 MAC players in the Portal, but that's out of 1100+ players so far. The amount of P6s losing talent is asinine as well. The system hurts everyone who hasn't elevated themselves to be blue bloods in today's game. The MAC chose to sit on its hands for 2+ decades. The only thing they've ever been ahead of was cancelling the 2020 MAC Tournament, and that is controversial at best. When they allowed Marshall, UCF, UMass football, etc., to use their conference as a quick stepping stone, that was the first large nail in the coffin for the MAC. They then sold their souls to "separate" themselves with mid-week MACtion football, sacrificing the essence of collegiate football/athletics - Saturday GameDay environments. Steinbrecher is dying on the hill of "tradition" and blocking most, if not all "forward thought" marketing that would separate the MAC and re-establish itself as a top G5 conference. It's not a desirable conference to play in comparatively.

  12. Man I really want the Browns to build a new stadium with a roof. Not only because I think they can potentially host the MAC Football championship, but they'd definitely get to host the Final Four.

  13. After the Zips game at PPG Arena, I passed Koby Altman the General Manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the concourse. You would have to think that Enrique Freeman impressed Koby after his 21 and 14 showing against the 7' 1" 270 lbs - Ryan Kalkbrenner, the Big East three time Defensive Player of the Year. I will never forget the 24 points, 21 rebounds and 7 blocks stat line against Ohio U. Really appreciate Enrique and going to miss him.
