Thanks for posting that about GP1. I had wondered what happened with him. I was one of the "many people who read but don't post" . I too took time off from this site at that time due to all the negativity.

This made me mad when I seen it. Why did they have to do this at the beginning of the football season. We don't need to give people excuses to not come.

I haven't had time to post here about media day. The thing that caught me in a few of Terry's interviews was when he was asked about the losses we had at o-line. He said "the guys here are very athletic and we have depth. This year's line will be better than last years." Yesterday he was asked about being voted to finish 3rd in the east. He responded by saying in order to be ahead of BG and Ohio than we need to beat BG and Ohio. He went on to say it was never a dream to be voted pre-season coach of the year. You want to be coach of the year when the season is done.

I remember seeing a thing about this on NFL Films, where they were talking to a couple of running backs and one said once I got through the front 7 and especially the LB I didn't expect to get popped but there I was looking out my ear hole.

GT was on 1590 WAKR yesterday talking about Zips spring ball. I didn't get to hear all of it since I was busy at work. I'm hoping to find a link to listen to all of it. What I did hear was George talking about the improvement from the QB's and how much Chapman has picked up the offense and is now pushing Woodson. He also touched on how this WR core could be really exciting. GT also went into how there are a lot of holes to fill this year but Bowden has brought a lot of talent to the program and groomed them ready to play. He kept saying there is reason for optimism this year with this team. I also caught him saying even with just a couple of weeks of spring ball and that he doesn't count that 1st week due to spring brake right after, That everyone is playing as a team. Something he could ever say about Icoach teams.

That is typically done so that the 1s play the 1s and the 2s play the 2s. So basically the 1st string offense and 2nd string defense are on a team and the 1st string defense and 2nd string offense are on the other. It doesn't always work out so sometimes you will see some cross over between the teams.

They were discussing this today on Mike and Mike. They said Mac schools attend these camps that Ohio State and other big ten schools put on. That it hurts kids by not giving them a single place to "shop" universities, as well as the G5 schools are not going to take everybody, so it allows the MAC to scout the talent and take the kids that get passed on.

It also didn't give Lane his due credit on offense. For the first time in a long time, I'm good with the WR core. I'm also ok with Woody. Especially if he keeps progressing. The other items are legitimate concerns. I'm excited to see this version of the 2016 Zips offense.
