  1. show me evidence I am wrong
  2. I didn't say zero skip, and can you prove to me that it did? I'm a season ticket holder,, have been since Day 1, and I saw no increase in attendance at any game after the new board was installed. So maybe not scientific evidence, but definitely casual observance, unless you have some data to prove me wrong. ADDED - Sorry skip, didn't mean to come off confrontational, just that my point is they retained customers, had repeat customers coming back, it was not a selling point to add new customers, and I think it did that, but my section behind 3rd base is just as half full now as it was a few years ago with the old videoboard...except for fireworks nights!
  3. The addition is to make those who now come, continue to come, simple as that. The new scoreboard at Canal Park didn't add any new fans, just made current fans happier to keep coming back, and maybe word of mouth spreaf good news about the experience. Doubt The U had to sell it to trustees it would add butts in seats.
  4. Thanks for backing up my assessment....
  5. Actually Kyle is the #3 QB....or was.
  6. I’ve been tempted to post that “don’t look now, but Cykron will be posting again soon”. When I saw Kyle was playing. I waited too long! Plus, don’t want to jinx us, but Kyle scares me as an opponent. Saw him play HS ball long enough to know I wished he was a Zip! I even thought youu might come back to your newfound friends for the game.....!
  7. I thought you were kidding....but you weren’t! How can they even put all the scenarios together and come up with THAT! Could this be the Great Frisco Bowl Jinx we’ve all heard about?
  8. And 10 were in this last game....! We’re #1 despite a 10 spot against WMU....
  9. Should have asked this a loooooooong time ago....have they been playing volleyball matches during all this scoreboard stuff? If so, nobody’s lifted a Takahara offit?
  10. I agree...felt ND was a better side than MSU.
  11. Yee Haw! That was a solid final 15 minutes, IMO. Didn’t settle and played moderately aggressive, kept on the offense and it paid off and Tor really wasn’t challenged late. Joao was so solid on the back line! Other end from first penalty, but close to second, think we might have gotten a gift of spot, thought the foul was just outside the box. Maybe a make-up for Stuart’s take down? Decent crowd, a little under my expectation...
  12. Thanks for the update TennZip
  13. My main concern with Cincinnati and others is the league is growing too big too fast. In my opinion. I mean it's been exponential growth almost. And when the novelty wears off in some of these towns, will we then see clubs closing up, r am I just a negative Nellie? As for Columbus, I went to two Saturday evening games this past season and had a blast at both, as usual. I even said to my fiend that I went with that the stadium, once the glamour site of MLS soccer as the first soccer-specific stadium looked quaint by today's standards, but what a great site to watch soccer. I also mentioned that Columbus would probably start to ask for taxpayer money to "modernize and enlarge" MAPFRE. Now this? I wish I had only an hour and a half drive, like ME87, but mine is like 2 and a half hours, and so we end up spending the night and enjoying the whole experience, but if it was only an hour away I'm sure I would be a season ticket holder.
  14. My guess would be Travonte Junius or maybe Nate Bischoff? maybe DeMarcus Lloyd??
  15. Guess what I had at the Ball State football game?????? Read it (see it!) and weep, NWA and K92!! (had a little broken tail issue, but it still tasted yummy!
  16. I agree....I was screaming at Jovan during his unfortunate series of downs early, but he has had a solid season so far, and it was out of frustration that human nature "motivated" me to write about screaming in his earhole....
  17. Thanks buddy, hoping I didn’t have to ask for a “spoiler alert”!
  18. After watching their battle with EMU, I saw a glimmer of light. I know Eastern has a great defense this year, but after today, I’m likig ours a lot more...
  19. Ooops, now 1-0 Newcastle?
  20. Yeah...watching the DVRed Southampton - Newcastle match right now. 17 minutes...nil-nil
  21. Oh excuse me outsider for being so old school, you want to just give him a lollipop?
  22. Don’t care....sit his ass for at least one play and have a coach scream into his f-ing earhole until he figures out he’s killing a drive!
  23. Looking like Kalamazoo for November 10th MAC tourney....IMHO. Hope I am wrong, don’t wanna make the drive and spend the weekend.
  24. I was down in Sarasota two weeks ago and drove over to IMG Academy, and you are right....it is Corporate Soccer City. Where the best (that can afford it) are in a resort like atmosphere with facilities out the ying yang. But it’s not thestreet kids there, it’s all the club kids who’s parents have been able to spend lavishly on travel clubs since they were 5years old, camps every season and off season, tournaments around the world, and coaches and tutors to help with soccer and school. Mostly so they wiwll meet the right contacts to get them in the right schools and the right ODP programs. Not looking for the “organic” kids like fknbuflobo says. Don’t get me wrong, IMG does produce good kids and players, but it’s rare to see an inner-city kid down there for anythng but basketball, and they give scholarships.
