  1. Yeah, but don't forget De Vera....what jets that kid has. And his change-of-pace during a run from the back is phenomenal...and when it comes to attitude, The Enforcer last night was Ezana! Holthuzen could have had 2 more goals last night, IMO. The Zips looked so much more comfortable and inspired last night...more so than at UVS. It's gonna take the a few matches to work the new guys in. Hinds seems lost in the shuffle. Munch-Bishop sure likes to hear himself talk...but seemed to know his stuff, and having former Zip coach Oliver Slawson as his color man was a great last minute addition...Mark should have let Oliver talk more. Slawson's Ashland Golden Eagles got off to a solid 3-nil win over Malone to start....sorry malonepioneer12 !!
  2. I think it's going to be a closer game than most think, but still a 3 score win for PSU. Ball will run the ball well, but they will tall out in the red zone, hence his big yardage but losing. The Defense will play solid, but I don't look for PSU to turn the ball over more than once. Two sacks....
  3. I don't agree...as stated earlier in posts, beating PSU does no equate to what will happen down the schedule. Lots of mid-majors have pulled upsets of top 10s and then fell flat on their faces...or other things...because they took everything for granted after the big win...
  4. Double duty - double vision tonight as I will be watching Darlington vs. Costa Rica and the Zips vs. Washington on ESPN3! My neck's gonna get sore turning between screens!
  5. But hey, they have wall-to-wall coverage of the Browns and Indians, who....play in Cleveland! Of course, the Beacon feels they need to "fill the void" by duplicating the efforts of the Plain Dealer. I mean, why write something nice about a team that they could literally look out their windows northeasterly and see play!
  6. Thanks for the shout out Z.I.P. I agree, Lorenzo was pretty darn good, and she had lots of opportunities, and was unlucky not to score. The ESPN3 announcers seemed to think Prathapa was CSU's best, but I wasn't impressed. She missed a point blank shot that could have ended it in regulation. Only one correction....Cleveland State is in the Horizon League, but you are right, after beating both Akron and Kent they WOULD be in first in the MAC East!! (or was your comment tongue-in-cheek?)
  7. Thanks...but I evidently didn't pay for that package either. Got me all excited!
  8. We really have got to find a way to score....1 goal in the first exhibition and now three straight zeros? Back to the topic earlier of "where are goals going to come from?" And Washington, even at Cub Cadet, will be a stingy get.
  9. What a great picture! Almost frameable...
  10. I'm assuming Coney on as special teams rep...
  11. Yep....I got the word on Saturday that if I wanted to watch it would cost me....looks like Stat Tracker tonight!
  12. Ouch...Ouch...Ouch.... A bad weekend in Chicago for WSOC. Young and inexperienced, it showed against better competition. I expect a better outcome and a comeback this Thursday against Cleveland State. Come on out and see, Cub Cadet this Thursday....
  13. If you need a Zip fix, soccer fix, whatever....just bored....the Women's soccer team ....WSOC....are playing Loyola - Chicago on ESPN3...
  14. Great interview,...and nicely presented....read it on the pdf version
  15. Welcome to the Forum....these guys (others on this forum) have been very helpful and resoursful. And I liked Skye in 2016, but looks better now. Fingers crossed it continues....
  16. Kwads has the speed to separate himself from the D-Backs,, that's for sure. Thomas is the QB that can throw it long enough to hit him in stride....both factors to Kwadarius' success and the Zips'. Coaches haven't always shown they were confident in his ability.
  17. Very disappointing result, despite knowing that UVS was a good side. Tough to watch the video stream and make any critical comments, but after a spirited first half, the Zips looked sluggish coming out in the second. Needed to score first, and when UVS did it made it difficult t play as open as we can. Denver may be a tough point, at best.
  18. Tiny screen is right! I have audio. We had a good first half. No goals but dominant. IMHO.
  19. Mountains look nice...what altitude are they playing at?
  20. Who's in the nets?
  21. Being tough to cover does not equate to catching the ball.
  22. So nice on lots of counts. BIG. Talented. Wanted to come to UA. Local young man. Long term commit rather than 1 or 2 year eligible. Way to go Bow and staff!
  23. Jiu named MAC Defensive player of the week..... http://www.gozips.com/news/2017/8/22/womens-soccer-jiu-named-mac-defensive-player-of-the-week.aspx She's going to be a Difference Maker for the Women...keep them in matches for the entirety.
  24. Is any of the schedule, non-conference, dictated by Conference agreements? I mean, it seems like every MAC team plays a BIG10 team, or SEC, usually on the same weekends....coincidence or does anyone know if the conferences work some kinda deal?
