The last home NCAA win was in 2018 against Rider in horrendous weather similar to the forecast for Thursday 2019 - Awful season, miss 2020 - Covid season, miss 2021 - First round vs Santa Clara, Lose in OT 2022 - First round bye, second round as 16 seed vs Pitt, Lose 3-0 while Dyson and Shookalook had to miss the game due to red cards 2023 - Miss tournament 2021 was the weirdest season of them all I think, 5 MAC teams, NIU, BGSU, WVU, Georgia State, and UA made it to the tournament. Akron didn't even qualify for the 4 team MAC tournament hosted at the worst stadium in the conference at NIU. And of course we would lose in the first round on a totally lopsided game that saw a second chance deflection goal be the end of our season

It is going to be a dreary day on Thursday in Akron. High of 37 and snow forecasted. Starting the same way as 2018! Unfortunately, game is at the same time as the Browns vs Steelers game in Cleveland, I wish I would not have bought tickets 2 months ago, would much rather be in Akron on Thursday 😔

Was Caleb Borneo injured in the second half of the season? He started the first few games of the season and I haven't seen him out there in weeks. You could really tell the subs in the last 10 minutes of regulation weren't on the same level as our starting XI. Didn't love the somewhat acceptance of overtime

I was just at Marshalls in Brimfield last night and they have oodles and oodles of Ohio State stuff there, not much of a surprise to me. But something I did find interesting was they had Kent State blankets. I have never seen any Akron gear ever in a store like that

Apparently there isn't a board in charge anymore. For the last couple of years the board has been terrible as most of the people "in charge" couldn't even attend as fans because they were working the events. When I was a student no one really went to games because they were members of the rowdies. It was more just a student section and not anything organized. I said it at the start of the year, if we beat OSU students will show up as they see the team is good. But as we have seen the last few seasons, we lose or draw early big games, people just stop showing up. I think basketball would be a better way to see if students actually care about being part of the "rowdies" or just a student section
