That is why if they do play multiple games against non D1 opponents, one of them should be a noon game during the week and bring out local schools as a field trip. Last night was still fun, but pack in the jar with 3000+ screaming 6th graders

Now imagine having a back on the sideline bleachers, would be the best seat in the house no doubt

I was not expecting Coach groce to be out there signing autographs but I was surprised to see he was! Not enough good words can be said about him, he was telling all the people in line “thank you for coming out” and was just very appreciative of all the support the fans have for the team

Tavari just eclipsed the 1000 point mark

Concord is shooting 31%, but 34% from three

Same lineup as last game

The student for a day tickets were a good idea, looks like a large group of grade schoolers in that section today

There weren’t many students at the game for that one. I think somehow we will get 1,050+ for today

I would imagine we would see the same starters as last game, especially since it’s against concord. It seems like it would work out for a 2 game trial and then revert back to the original if it won’t stick

So OU is playing Miami-Hamilton. If Miami-Hamilton somehow beat them, would main campus Miami brag about it like they won a rivalry game (not the team of course, but like the barstool and student social accounts)

Its so interesting, this team has been so consistently good (at least on offense), people hardly ever talk about Tavari who could be MAC POY. The players that get the most posts are probably Barre and Halligan. We know what to expect from these established guys and they perform every night, its great

Really hope that remi comes back for at least one more season. The good thing about ncaa soccer is that we will find out in the spring games instead of being in the dark all summer

all aboard the halligan train

Finally, I was getting worried they weren't gonna do a basketball version this year

Thankfully Jalin Billingsley who made that game winning put back dunk is no longer on the roster. He is also part of the EMU gambling investigation

Lamest end to a national championship ever. UW wins in OT, a good minute after they start to celebrate the ref goes to VAR. UW hands the trophy BACK. He goes to check whether a player that didn’t touch the ball was offsides 4 passes before the final pass to goal. 2-3 minute review “call stands good goal”

Since covid how many established players have we had transfer out? I can honestly think of only one, Gyuwon Chong. I know there have been a few freshmen transfer before getting playing time but that is normal. Ashton, Mitch, Stefan, Daragh, Malik, WKWK, Dyson, Shookalook, Diogo, truly a huge group of guys to come to Akron and not transfer out. Hard to imagine any other sport retain talent like that in this era

What do you think is on his pyramid of success

You know concord is gonna come in to the jar one of these years guns a blazin ready to knock us off!

Chemistry, Life Science, Math, Physics. That is wild to eliminate majors that have been around since basically whenever higher education started

Get Joe Dunn on there with them that would be pure entertainment

The video clip they just showed of the 1959 SLU championship was insane. It looked like they played on the equivalent of the intramural field behind manny’s in a mud pit

Terrible error by furman to allow UW to go up 2-0. CB tries to bring down a ball with the bottom of his foot and pass to the goalie in one motion, UW player intercepts it goes around the keeper and the guy that gave up the ball doesn’t even try to slide to prevent a goal

https://gozips.com/news/2025/12/10/general-akron-athletics-launches-zips-fan-council Don't really know where to put this, but I really like this idea

Maybe if they still used their historic arena instead of a sterile NBA-Lite arena they could actually get some fans there just for the vibes
