So how about some strategy for this game? I think the only question is will we cover the 50.5 spread? In my opinion the Zips will really struggle to run the ball so Joe will attempt a lot of quick, short passes to avoid sacks. Hopefully most of these don’t hit the ground and the clock keeps running while picking up some first downs. I just can’t see them scoring on this defense unless it’s a busted play. Hoping for a few stops and/or turnovers on defense while the Buckeyes offense gets untracked. Zips get a late field goal to make the final score 52-3. Take the Zips plus the points! Just hoping we come out healthy for week 2.

Does the team put out a depth chart prior to the games?

The Akron football Twitter and Instagram accounts actually do a pretty good job of posting a lot of pictures and videos but there is zero coverage in regards to what is actually happening. It would be nice to see a few interviews with some coaches or players. It’s unbelievable how little the ABJ does to cover this team. I’m not asking for a daily report but maybe one every few weeks??

Mr Negative strikes again. I’ve been to games at Toledo and the only thing different is that they have been winning for a long time which translates into better crowds…which translates into better atmosphere….which translates into better experience. Akron has a great stadium, if they start winning it will be a fun atmosphere.
