Sorry man. She said no. :-)

Why the F do you take a timeout before a potential 53 yard field goal?

I used to work with a guy whom we used to call Bad Decision Mike. He always seemed to combine Stupidity with Bad Luck at the worst possible times. He must work in the Zips equipment room. We certainly had both Stupidity (our starting QB getting suspended over whatever reason it was) and Bad Luck (Miami's starting QB returning and at least playing reasonably well). No excuses this should have been a winnable game. No faith of coming back from this one or beating Ohio next week.

Back when you were listening to Tommy Dorsey and his big band sound?
-
It worries me when I think the same way as you. And what was that thing Miami did where they kicked the ball between those yellow posts?
-
Didn't you play against YA Tittle?
-
We're not going to keep Ragland and Company out of the end zone forever Zips are going to need some scores
-
Hell of a job Kato!!!
-
Good job Featherstone! Now we need to make them pay for it.

Nice stop by the D and holy crap is Nelson looking good at the start. Nice throw and nice run. Maybe them getting a rusty starting QB back and our getting fresh blood isn't going to be a negative. And as I type that Sands is hurt :-(

The MAC Championship game is on a Saturday this year so maybe we can get one more Saturday game in. BTW we need to use this image from the Simpsons somehow for Tuesday.
-
It was a little extensive. Who did people pick as our non-rival? I chose Alabama.
-
I'd say the Chapman conversion to WR can be considered a success. Good for him and the Zips.
-
Love the shots as always but hate the first one. Hate being reminded how two great captains (and people) are done for the year.

I think all of us want however many paths the Zips can get to the MAC East Championship. 1. Easy one - win the next two and it's done regardless of what happens against Kent or what Miami or OU does. 2. A loss to OU - need some combination of Zips getting one more win than the Kittens (Beat Kent and Miami while OU loses to Miami and Toledo say) but it is still possible to win the division without beating OU. 3. A loss to Miami - Same scenario as #2, have Miami lose to OU, Ball St or EMU and Zips win their final two. If they trip up more than once Zips have breathing room but still very tough. 4. Lose to Miami and OU - Must beat Kent (as is always wanted :-)) OU must lose to Miami, Toledo and Buffalo, and Miami must lose to EMU and Ball St. Don't even want to think about this one. There are other scenarios too but lets see what happens Tuesday and things will be a little clearer. Just want as many chances for the Zips to win it as possible.

That would be great but the point is even beating Ohio would not be enough to win the division. It'll help a lot though ?
-
Yes in that case the Zips would finish at 6-2, OU at best 5-3 and Miami's best case would also be 5-3.
-
If Miami beats OU and we beat Miami and lose to OU even if we beat Kent then we don't have a lock on the division. OU could still tie us and win the division based on head-to-head matchup.
-
Cool thing is we don 't really have to root for one over the other like in other years where we absolutely needed a team to lose. But while two losses for the Bobkittens would nice especially since they still have Toledo. I'd still be OK with giving Miami three losses. We have to play them there and they finish with EMU and Ball St.

Overall record is 1st criteria

Actually I was off on two counts I was using the men's soccer media guide and it does show those games were played in Kalamazoo but perhaps the MAC regular-season champ didn't host back then? And I also really overlooked the fact that the Zips did not win the MAC regular-season title in Caleb Porter's first year in 2006 so that was the last time the Zips didn't host not 2004. That's what I get for trying to do it on my phone ?
-
Last time the Zips were not the regular-season Mac Champs was in 2004. WMU was the regular-season champion that year as the Zips also lost a 1-0 game to them (but beat them 6 to 1 in the championship game at Kalamazoo we can only hope history repeats itself). Zips could still win the MAC but we'll have to beat NIU and have WMU lose and tie at best against SIU tomorrow and BGSU next week. If WMU beats SIU tomorrow the regular-season championship goes to WMU no matter what.

Zips currently projected to be in the Bahamas Bowl according to ESPN. I'd take that. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21110727/week-8-college-football-bowl-projections-2017

Still appreciate the effort. Tough to write those
