vs FSU would be some game. They would be out for revenge, and we KNOW we can beat them. Are there any players remaining from either roster? Wasn't that 4 years ago or more? I don't think the psychology of that game would be as you describe it at all. If beating ND in the first round, that would provide all the confidence we might need to beat FSU...why is my alarm clock going off again? I am pretty sure that D ROb, Brett and Bardo were on the roster then. Nick Dials hit those big threes

I already predicted he will be on the NBA radar if he plays really well. But no NBA team is going to pay him megabucks to sit on the bench for a couple of years while he physically matures. Now, if he ends next year at 7'1" and 240#, it may be bye bye Zeke. He has a lot of raw talent, but does not have the skills that LeBron had out of High School. Almost NO ONE ever does.

I think that this year proves, beyond any doubt, that in college ball, SIZE MATTERS. Remember, we had not one but really three bigs this year. Zeke, Bardo, and Nik is pretty darn big too. The only way this conference improves is if we can attract more bigs as recruits. Right now it is on us to help to do that. Beating ND would be a giant step.

Would you please feed that guy. I bet he would play even better if he ate at least twice a week! Still, pretty damn good for a "beanpole" to quote that azzclown from NBC.

We should do a letter writing campaign to NBC to complain. OH, they don't have the madness on TV, do they? Sour grapes.

He was not mentioned as a returnee in my post. Someone else will need to develop to take his place. The BIG need for the immediate future is another BIG because we are losing Nik and Bardo. This success will help us find one.

It will be in the top 10. I've got on ESPN and it is in the running for top play. Tune in. Also, I like that those 4 are returning. But to say the 5 we are losing is not going to hurt would be an incorrect statement. That is the nature of college ball. You can only get 4 years out of someone, then you need a new someone. We have some interesting new someones on the bench.

Next year we have Zeke back, along with Rico, Nitro, Q and a bench full of excellent prospects. We will probably start the season favored in the Mac and with a mid-major ranking. It will be interesting to see what we can do with a mature Zeke and supporting cast. This win was BIG for our program. For one thing, it probably puts Zeke on the national map. NINE BLOCKS in a championship game. Along with 13 rebounds. And that last block should be the ESPN play of the week. It was dominant.

So let me get this straight: We get ONE player on the ALL MAC SECOND team. Zeke does not even make honorable mention. Then he gets TOURNAMENT MVP. Who makes these selections, the Can't coaching staff?

BTW, did #3 get called for smacking Zeke in the face on that play?

Besides, another NCAA appearance gives us some real recruiting power. IF you play for Akron, you get a chance to dance. Maybe he will use that one!

Careful. Texas Tech & Georgia Tech are in need of head coaches. If KD can pull an upset in the ncaa and get some more notice, they may come looking; he has plenty of career left and no one could begrudge him a move up from the 1-bid mid-major MAC. He won't leave until Zeke does. Just like LeBron, Zeke is his personal ticket to something. And he earned it.

No, he needs to go. After all these years, only two NCAA bids and what, two to the NIT, and they only won ONE game in post season. That is horrible. We need a real coach.

That's right! Zeke Marshall, Mid-American Conference Tournament MVP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He deserved it and I called it. If we could win a game or two in the dance, we could set ourselves up for an at large or NIT bid next year. There WILL be interest in Zeke as time goes on.

I taped the whole thing on my DVR That last block was the game and the ticket to the dance.
