Zeke is having a GREAT game. Blocked shots, interfered with shots. He had a steal!!!! And he got down the floor in front of a fast break by McNees went hog and missed the shot. The one jumper he hit looked PRO! Watching the $7 feed and it is damn good. Way better than anything on ZipsZone. The commentators keep comparing Zeke to Wilt Chamberlain. AA is going to be a great player. Maybe DB Cooper caliber next year. And Diggs showed an amazing athletic move to the basket. We can't be as bad as our record.

Regardless of whether we want to blame it on foul trouble, coaching, or his teamates not getting him the ball enough, we still have to expect him to make more of his own opportunities simply by his size alone. But look at some recent numbers: EMU: 1 Offensive Rebound in 28 min. Nik had 10 in similar minutes. Toledo: 2 TOTAL Rebounds in 25 min. (seems impossible) during a game in which Nik pulled down 9 boards with similar playing time. WMU: NO Offensive Rebounds in 21 min. The guy simply needs to do a better job of getting after it when he is on the floor, squeezing the ball, finishing with some conviction around the hoop, and making more happen on his own. In my opinion they have him concentrating on blocks which leaves him out of position for rebounds. That, to me, is a coaching decision. If they kept him inside he could probably get more defensive boards but would be less interference on opponents shots.

+1 And say what you want, Chase is the heart and soul of the Special Teams. And the Giants did not make the playoffs because of the injury to Hix. They never got a return man all season. Hix is consistently one of the best in the league on punts and kicks. I hope he can make it back.

Looking at the videos a couple of things stand out: I LOVE his energy. GREAT athleticism NOW, if this guy does not play LB we are getting the short end of the stick. This guy is from the Lawrence Taylor mold (without the DWIs and all that I hope). An absolutely super ATHLETE who makes sure tackles, has great pursuit, and most of all has FOOTBALL SMARTS. The way, in some of the videos, that he shoves blockers out of the way and gets to the ball carrier Those are Pro moves. This is a guy who can make a difference this year.

Is he going to ride in on a white horse? Will he be wearing a mask under his helmet? Will his favorite receiver be Tonto? Will they give him a silver football to throw? And the biggest question of all: CAN WE GET THE GUY HE WAS THROWING TO? and When he gets pissed off at iCoach is he going to leave the Stadium with a mighty "HI HO SILVER AWAYYYYY" I mean really, his parents had some sense of humor. No wonder he is screwed up. Imagine enduring that your entire life. As bad as a boy names Sue.

He was right to keep the starters in for two reasons: First of all, he had to absolutely insure the win. This season is bad enough, we need every win we can get which means NO risk taking. Second KD plays way too much substitution. For a team to play like a team, the starting team needs to be cohesive. This year there has been way too much Bardo is not where Zeke was going to be, AA steals and passes to where McNees should be, only it is Roberts and he is not there. He needs to keep them working as a TEAM, and that means keeping them in.
