Three straight blowouts. Great start. I could do just as well, I will gladly take the job for half the pay. In fact, I have a pension and social security and Akron is cheaper to live than New York. I will take the job for $1000 a week in season.

OK, he is not on campus so this year is out, he is not a current UA student (remember, school started weeks ago). This guy is a wildcard: 1. It makes perfect sense that he plays JUCO rather than sitting out the season as a D1 transfer. This way, if he has a great JUCO season, the offers will flow. If not, he comes to Akron. 2. He could be another K-Lac. He just turned 18, and is 6'8". He might have another inch or two in him. But guys that size with skills (and 3A recruit ratings) do not usually go to junior college. He may have the size but not the skills. Time will tell.

Once again going for a no win season. But somehow he is better than Bowden. Did Bowden take a bunch of players with him like KD? Color me confused. At this point mediocrity is better

I'm with you brother. There was no reason to sack Bowden. He brought us back from last in the NCAA.

This "team" may not win one game. Before Bowden we were the absolute laughing stock of the NCAA. Looks like we are about to get that title back. Other teams change coaches and find success. WE need to find coaches.

After the first two football games I am not really looking forward to the hoops season.

The best players have their eyes on an NBA or professional future. That has not been in the cards for Ivy League players since the days of Bill Bradley. Players who count on the scholarship for an education look to places like the Ivy League.

Akron is not the capital of the world. It is only the capital of West Virginia. And yes, I graduated in 1971.

I have a degree from Akron. I don't know what this has to do with New Jersey, but the institution on the degree does matter in future endeavors

It's a reality check. Of course we need to make the effort. That is what got Zeke, who certainly could have gone higher. But don't get your hopes up. With offers like that we have little chance.

You have to be kidding. A degree from most all of those schools is way better than from Akron. And most of them are "name" schools that compete at a good level. Boston U, Bucknell, St. Joes or Akron? Good luck with that.

The chances of getting him are below zero. He has offers from schools that go to the Dance.
