  1. ESPNU showed up on channel 118 today for TW Akron
  2. David Terrell round 1 pick 8. Quincy Morgan round 2 pick 2. Hixon, a fifth-round pick, and Clark, an undrafted player.Beautiful!
  3. I remember watching a preseason Monday night game against Dallas on Aug. 9, 1999. It was the Hall of Fame Game at Fawcett. A player named Couch caused the future of the Browns sparkle with a TD pass to a receiver named Kevin Johnson. The score put the Browns up by a touchdown in the second quarter. Tim completed 11 of 17 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown and the Browns beat the Cowboys 20-17. After that game everyone screamed for Couch to start in the regular season. Years later Couch was claimed of the scrap heap by the Jacksonville Jaguars to be a third string quarterback. After a poor performance the team cut him. Now you know ther rest of the story...
  4. I'm in.When should I expect the shirt?
  5. Never heard of this. I called the Alumni Association a couple of weeks ago and they told me nothing was planned. Funny, this has only been on the schedule for how many months? You would think they would have had their act together well in advance.
  6. A fair analysis of Frye's performance last night. My favorite part was when he stated that "... all I can say is that if it had been Brady Quinn who turned in the performance that Charlie Frye did last night, the local media would be falling all over itself anointing him as the team's savior. Unfortunately for Charlie, the party line on him is that he's yesterday's news..."
  7. Media Guide to Zips in the "Pros." Go to page 114 (or 36 of 48).
  8. He got my vote for the "Biggest Quitter" of last year. It's funny how they say he "transferred" from Akron. No mention of quitting because he lost his starting job.
  9. As far as I can tell, it still looks as if he is on Denver's roster. I know they were high on him being a special teams return guy until his injury (and eventual placement on the reserve/non-football injury list) last year. Some of the early 2007 depth charts have him listed (such as http://subscribers.footballguys.com/apps/depthchart.php), some don't. I don't know the status of his injury or rehab.I posted this (click link) on ZN back on July 7th
  10. Mike Brake was released in April 2005 by the Rams after signing as an undrafted rookie free agent TE in April 2004

  17. You mean carrying chairs to a U-Haul. What is going to close next?
  18. I had a thought. Since we all know the newspaper won't ever do that because the other team sells papers, why doesn't the University pay for an "advertisement" section. Make it a weekly insert and give updates. Like Parade or the real estate section.
  19. He is so good the Browns cut him.

My reasoning would be that a QB would have no time to throw because a defense would key on the pass. I looked at the bottom feeder YPAs and the top YPA QBs. I guess I didn't prove my original point, but it is interesting. I would have assumed that a higher YPA would mean a high YPG.
  21. Great story.I know it's petty, but I was kind of suprised that KD said "Akron U."
  22. Very true. Winning cures just about everything, unless you're Rex Grossman.
  23.
