Manning QB, IND 18th 110.15 C. Palmer QB, CIN 26th 101.8When I originally looked at this I thought it would prove a poor rushing attack would influence YPA. My reasoning would be that a QB would have no time to throw because a defense would key on the pass. I looked at the bottom feeder YPAs and the top YPA QBs. I guess I didn't prove my original point, but it is interesting. I would have assumed that a higher YPA would mean a high YPG.
  3. Great story.I know it's petty, but I was kind of suprised that KD said "Akron U."
  4. Very true. Winning cures just about everything, unless you're Rex Grossman.
  5. Teams ask about FryeMonday, Apr 30, 2007 10:51 am EDTGeneral Manager Phil Savage said a couple of teams inquired about trading for quarterback Charlie Frye, but the Cleveland Browns decided not to let him go. Savage said the Browns will bring in four quarterbacks, including Brady Quinn, Derek Anderson and Ken Dorsey, and let them compete.Offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski said he's spent time with Frye and that Frye is up for the challenge.
  6. Smith was the last pick of the 5th Round, #174 to Baltimore. Prepare for the future Quinn vs. Smith battles.

  8. Was that post joke? It seemed way too bad to be true. I learned in elementary school "i before e except after c." I didn't have to pay for a minor in English to learn that one. Although, it appears that someone was never taught it.
  9. The Massillon Tigers Story: The First Hundred YearsI own the book but haven't found time to read it. It covers 1894 to 1993. Lots of detail, some pictures, 256 pages long.
  10. I had a friend tell me that he heard laing on the radio saying that the committee had akron penciled into a "very respectable seed" before the loss to miami. I heard this talk yesterday on 850 AM, on the Kenny R. show.

  12. When you get snubbed by a bush tourney like the NIT, I guess it just proves that the MAC is an even more bush league.
  13. Per SI.comIt appears that Stan Heath's run at Arkansas will end after this season. The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas, citing an anonymous source close to the men's basketball program, reported this week that Heath needs to coach the Razorbacks to the NCAA Tournament to keep his job.-- Florida Times-Union
  14. What's the deal with ESPN.com calling Romeo "Big Loverman.""This game should come down to whether or not APSU can handle the Big Loverman, Akron's 6-7 senior Romeo Travis (13.7 ppg)."Did I miss something somewhere or has he always been called this?
  15. 14 to 7 Akron 7 min in.
  16. Super Bowl Commercial LinkPer my email for the U of A today:"If you plan to watch the Super Bowl in Northeast Ohio, keep an eye out for our newest TV commercial. We have aired regional Super Bowl spots every year since 2000, reaching an average of about 1.4 million people in our market. These regional ads cost a fraction of the national spots, which have themselves become part of the Super Bowl experience. The ad focuses on the University's energy, excellence and opportunity, using dozens of campus images and some of the latest editing technology."
