Zips fans, Parking for $5 is available next to Comerica Park in a underground parking deck. I don't the name of the street but it is right next to Comerica. I think in most spots it is at least $10-15 higher to park.

Akron may be in the MACC, but Toledo is in a bowl game so you're comment was totally stupid. Akron may be sitting home after tonight (which I hope they don't) while my Rockets will be playing 3 weeks from now. Second, I won't compare Fyre to Gradkowski. You can't either. Fyre was great for Akron and Bruce is great for Toledo. Who is better? That is up to interpretation. Since many judge by championships then the nod would go to Bruce. He has 2 MAC title rings of which one he was the starter. Also, Bruce will have started in 3 bowl games. Fyre has neither of those things on his resume, but he was still a great QB for the MAC.

I agree on our lack of quality wins. We beat no one this year except Western and BG. But, don't take out your frustrations on Toledo. We don't consider ourselves that good and we realize our reputation got us into this bowl. (along with the best overall record) I guess being on top means you have to hear it from everyone else, but it gets old after awhile.

What is your beef with Toledo? They are 8-3 and deserve a bowl bid. If Akron was 8-3 and not playing in the MACC, you'd be screaming for a bowl, period. Sure they had some embarassing losses on national tv, but at least they played 4 games on ESPN or ESPN2 and had people in the stands. They bring exposure to the conference, that is why the are playing in a bowl. Also, going to a bowl game means revenue for that bowl. Right now, which team looks more marketable, Akron or Toledo? Forget deserving because there are a lot of teams that deserve to go to a bowl and never get selected. Toledo will bring several thousand fans where its skeptical on how many Akron would bring. Why? These bowl committees look at attendance figures and fan following. I think Toledo wins in both those categories. Hey, if Akron wins they go to the Motor City Bowl, which is a good one. If you lose, then Akron is 6-6 and doesn't deserve a bid. Your beef with Toledo is unjustified and downright ridiculous. You should be upset at your fellow fans who didn't come to the games and also at the football team for losing too many winnable games.

Your Rockets played Marshall in the MAC Championship a few years ago at the Glass Bowl and there were less than 10,000 at your home field. I was there. Don't try to kid yourself. So was I. We had close to 20,000 and yes I was pissed about the small turnout.

8k in attendance is a huge success? Getting your game downgraded to ESPNU a huge success. Yeah it's great you got some exposure but I doubt anyone watched the game Thursday morning.

Yeah Akron sports looks a lot better overall than the BG's, Toledo's, Miami's, and NIU's of the MAC. And this is coming from a Toledo fan!

First off don't listen to Kitkat because he generally doesn't know what he is talking about. Second, MAC fans do get on ALL teams for attendance lags including the Big 4 if you want to call them that. Having Akron in the MACC is great for the conference but bad for the GMAC and the Motor City Bowl because these 2 bowls want the teams who bring the most fans. I understand that BG, Miami, and maybe NIU and UT have nothing to brag about in regards to attendance but they consistently draw 15,000+ a game and would travel better than Akron to a bowl game. It's all about revenue folks, even with the smaller bowls. If Akron can next year bring attendance up significantly then I think they should have no problem getting a bowl if they have a winning record. Akron only gets in this year if they win the MACC and I don't see that happening.

As a Toledo fan I think they will get smoked tonight. We have a great QB but no receivers who are consistent. BG is rolling with Jacobs right now and I see them winning at home tonight. No road team in the past 7 years has won this matchup and I don't think Toledo has the offensive experience to win this game.

Agreed but most Browns fans believe they know more than the coach. Heck, most of the sports writers in the area believe they know more than the coach. I just hate it when Cleveland fans want to start someone simply because he's a home boy. Fyre will get start when Crennel decides its time not when we decide its time.
