Your logic works both ways. When we won the MAC nobody was complaining it wasn't the Big 10 or ACC, when we went bowling 20,000 fans had no problem going to Detroit even though it wasn't New Orleans or Pasadena, and nobody complained it was called the Motor City Bowl and not the BCS National Championship Game. We all had fun, and it was extremely exciting.

But you know, Solich and OU do not recruit this type of athlete.

I'm most concerned about starting Henry Orelus after his drastic weight loss. 329-237, that's 92 LBs in a single offseason.

Will we win more than one game?

I agree not to expect a win, but NIU is the best team in the MAC. Ball State will push them hard, but I think NIU wins the West again. -

No, no, I doubt the computer rating system, even in a fantasy world I couldn't beat that ridiculous system. -

I went undefeated and the best I could get was the Sugar Bowl against Michigan. We are talking NCAA Football 2014 right? -

If we are improved some of those scores will be a lot lower. BGSU and Miami were close last year with our defense fading midway through the 3rd quarter. I don't see that happening again. I also think, based of last year, that Ohio could go our way, it would be the second largest crowd of the year, homecoming and we competed well against them last year with very little depth. The biggest thing from last year is how competitive we were in every game. There are prognosticators that think we lose a lot, but with the young talent we had and the depth we have added from transfers there will not be any drop off. I see an NIU - BGSU MACC game, but we will have edged one of them. NIU is still a middle of the pack team in any big conference (meaning they are at least as good an Iowa) so they outclass the rest of the conference quite a bit. Final results anywhere between 4-8 and 6-6. Which for what this team was 2 years ago is a bigger turn around then the Miami turnaround a few years ago. -
To spell it out for you... Short pass, 25+ yards after catch. Not really hard to figure out. Give it a rest already.

Yes but this article is not designed to be constructive, just critical. In order to increase graduation rate you have attract the best students and increase enrollment requirements. There is no way UA of 1991 is able to do either of those. No honors programs, no real attractions to compete against other universities. So there is no way you can compete for top students. In fact when I enrolled in 1996 it was literally a choice made out of convenience. The only top students we attracted were for engineering, and we were starting to lose that battle. Attendance was at a 25 year low (I believe sub 20,000) We have begun to attract more students and we have begun to deny students. The graduation rate is going to increase because we are attracting more serious students not just those that think they are supposed to go to college and not just letting in anyone that wants to enroll. What we really need is for Summit College to become a true Community College so that we have a feeder and a place to send students that aren't ready and can save money while getting a taste for college level work. There are things in place already to increase the graduation rate.

What's wrong is the primary focus on the negative and the lack of information regarding cause. The state required the University to allow all who applied to attend. Graduation rate has not been a major issue to now. Very few comparative statistics. Like BGSU's 35% graduation rate or Can't's 49%. No information that transfers impact the graduation rate or the fact a half time student would take 8 years or more to complete a degree. It's a lot of scorn with very little fact, click bait is what I call this article.

I agree, the first step is to start eliminating professors that spend all day on the PC criticizing the Univeristy instead of teaching their students.

See how quickly things get twisted. I threw out a hypothetical and people can't fathom that so they try and take it to the point of absurdity. I stick by my statement and the fact that we were lucky it only lasted 3 months

No, if Abreu hadn't gotten caught when he did then the University would have been screwed. Just keep living under your rock. I'm glad DiG pulled the rule set. • if adequate compliance measures exist; - Abreu was using aid to make drug purchases • if they are appropriately conveyed to those who need to be aware of them; - One student talking about Abreu to an authority figure and nothing being done • if they are monitored to ensure that such measures are being followed; and - • if, on learning that a violation has occurred, the institution takes swift action. - the University delays action, allowing Abreu to play against Can't, MAC tournament with any of the other things happening. Trust me, it is a lot closer than any of you want to admit.
-
The University had no plan, DEA caught the package, APD made the arrest. Maybe read the article properly. He was using University Aid to fund drug trafficking. I didn't say it would be, but it was closer than you would like to admit. If it had went on any longer than it did, there would be no denying that other people knew about it. Fortunately it was short lived.

This is so close to being so much more disastrous for our program. UA students were buying from him, he's kind of an easily identifiable person. There are not many more rungs in the ladder to "lack of institutional control". Just like any other athlete that is "poor" I can't possibly have any sympathy for him. Let's think about this for a moment, he needed money, so he took $900 of his scholarship aid and turned it into $1100. So it all started so he could make an extra $200. Seriously? You had $900 to buy weed you idiot and your family and gf know what you are doing with your life. The best gift you could have given them is to not end up in jail. And that is the biggest problem, is most of these athletes don't appreciate what they have and want that little bit extra. Pryor at OSU, that was for what $300, he was set to bamboozle some poor NFL team in to drafting him in the top 10. If a UA scholarship athlete has enough left over aid to buy $900 worth of weed, I think student athletes get plenty of money.

Are you suggesting that Stub Hub is inaccurate? So there aren't only 5 tickets left for the game against Ohio?
-
Sweet, I saw Deon'tae Moore in your article, what about Jerome Lane?
-
Some people who know his history may have an issue with this. I have read and sympathize with his family and the family of Tyler Campbell. They are both very tragic losses. With Chris being kicked off the team that year, I am not sure that it is even a possibility. I would like to think the University would do something to support their families and the movement that the Campbells have started.

The number one reason for low graduation rates is open enrollment, which was required by the State of Ohio. As we move away from that the rates will go up.

The Wagon Wheel Challenge is tied at 6 with just 3 sports yet to be decided. Baseball Men's and Women's Track Now baseball, the deck is stacked against us there. Track on the other hand, we split the indoor, winning the men's title but losing the women's title. So it would seem Can't will take it again this year, but no so fast my friends. Both men and women walked away with victories in a Dual meet against Can't last weekend. So if you're not busy get out to Lee Jackson Field this weekend for either track or baseball.

I don't know, intergalactic centralization seems to make a lot of sense. Sirusian Pirates love roundball, we could probably make the arena hold 100,000 at that point, but I would recommend we make it so that we could host rancor and sarlacc events. Something like this:

I'm good with conspiracy theories. I think that it somehow involves a former christian and some powers that be. A PI that follewd AA to know places he visited, then a gentle bear from Washington knew to overnight a 5 lb box that was 3 feet long to a specific address at a specific time and let the authorities know in advance. All in hopes of helping a bobcat find a crystal slipper that would get it to the dance.

Well those dominoes fell, but there are other one's being placed. Thanks to $4.5 million dollar investment in Infocision Stadium, The Stiltzein (sp) Alumni offices and the Martin Center are being moved over to the Stadium. This frees up land and since neither have historical designation, you can probably say goodbye to both of them. Martin Center is near a deck and has plenty of land, but I don't know how well events would coordinate with events at the Chapel.
