Dave and Shelly are the biggest Zips fans I know. They both volunteer their time and money to help make UA a better place. If there is a Zips sporting event one or both of them is probably in attendance.
You will meet at the JAR and travel by bus to Erie. UA is sharing the charter with St Bonnie. When you arrive in Grand Cayman there will be transportation provided to get you to and from the airport, games and all other organized events. There will be a team dinner at some point. When you arrive back in Erie you will be bussed back to the JAR. You will be able to leave you car parked at the JAR for the time you are away. I have traveled with the team on many occasions and it is a blast. Lots of interaction with the players and staff. I will be there and so will ZZZips.
Partisan politics always applies when it is your ox that is being gored. But when on the opposite side it is just good policy. I have to say though that without those advanced degrees there might be some difficulty in filling positions such as bartenders, hotel clerks, department store sales associates etc... YMMV
Will this help the mid-majors?

I would pin this reduction to the elimination of dozens of GA positions in the athletic department. KD usually had at least 7 GA's.
"The College of Health Professions’ BS in Athletic Training, one of the programs to be eliminated, saw one of the largest enrollment drops; with 140 students enrolled in 2015 to just 35 students this past year. "
